When Apollo Mission Astronaut Neil Armstrong first walked on the moon, he not only gave his famous 'One small step for man; one giant leap for mankind' statement, but followed it by several remarks, including the usual COM traffic between him, the other astronauts, and Mission Control. The easy word search today is sports. I had never heard the term skin diving. I googled it to find it is what I've always called snorkeling.
 |  |
Hugh, I had forgotten who Mr. Gorsky was...thanks for the reminder.

Happy Birthday, Andre.
 |  |
Don't believe the Gorsky story. And we now know that Armstrong said 'One small step for a man,' not 'One small step for man.'
 |  |
Keith - I always knew skin diving as when one used tanks and without tanks as snorkeling.
 |  |
From the little I read, it looked like with tanks was being refered to as scuba diving while without but with fins, mask and snorkel was called skin diving, but perhaps I should read further. I was wondering if like the footy, soccer, football confusion, there were different terms in different countries for the same thing.
