I'm making spag bol for tea tonight and it reminded me of last nights "Can we Help". The question was asked if meat pie and beer was still Australia's typical meal. The answer was no it is spag bol but in 10 years time it will most likely be pad thai noodles.
Australia really has More...

#2 son has just gone for a walk to the bottle shop at the end of the street. He needs beer and he is going to buy me a bottle or 2 of wine. Aah, the advantages of children being over 18 cannot be over emphasised! He's a lovely boy and so kind to me. Hubby will appreciate the beer since they drink all of his (and then he has to help me drink the wine).

I am back from the store with the still bent washing carousel in car. I hereby give warning that in my next post, when I have calmed down, I will relive my store experience with you all but you will need to be sitting down when I do. ...and I thought I had heard everything.

The man in the store said there was nothing he could do as the manufacturers would not replace the rotary line because.....wait for it......it was obvious I had used it when the wind was blowing! I tries to explain to him tht that was how clothes dry and that there was only 2 sheets and 2 pillow More...

I was too dumbfounded to argue with him. I still am. Had there been strong winds yes I would have done had he suggested as I don't want my washing blowing all over the village but a gentle to medium breeze.

Thanks, CynB, Viki and Ian. I think, as Ian hinted, that the information may have been slightly influenced by my partner's tendency to dramatize everything, rightly or not.
