G'day mates. Here's today's daffynition:
Psychologist - a man who watches everybody else when a pretty girl enters the room

...and here's today's factoid:
The winning word at the 1940 US National Spelling Bee was 'therapy.'

Elijah is doing a week long thing at the Vermont National Guard base. They have us check in and wait to caravan to the spot because we have to be escorted on the base. But after we drop off and sign him in, we can just leave. Does that make sense to anybody?

Woke-up this morning, which I think is a good thing.
But it went down hill after that. Learned the hard way, that Shelby was sick last night and my eldest handed me a tooth and then showed me where it once was and then gave me details.

It took a while, but I finally made it to the coffee pot.

Serena has graciously allowed me to substitute for the day, so, here goes:

Vowel Movement. It’s a game we used to play at family gatherings. My mother claimed to have invented it. I know nothing to the contrary. The answers are pairs of words with only one vowel changed. An example of More...

One of the neatest things about Vowel Movement as a game is that nothing is needed to play it, not even paper and pencil. A group can play anytime, anywhere. It's great, for example, for a family on a road trip.

In addition to taking my computer to the Apple store for repairs, my husband and I celebrated our 45th anniversary yesterday. Where does the time go?

Congratulations, Linda and Mr. Linda.

Being a youngster, I am no longer the baby, here, I am really amazed at the high number of years couples are together here. In my world, the longest marriage has been 36 years, and that was between MIL and FIL. Man and I are in second place. So, again, I am very impressed with these high numbers.

Have spent a very long time now scrubbing Shelby droppings, thought I had it all cleaned up, but still kept getting an odor smell, so I checked feet and shoes and socks, nothing. So, now on the look out for the offensive odor. I really do not want to find it, but I do not want it in my house. May More...

Keith, you really have me stumped on some of those ''Vowel movement'' words. I am assuming that there may be more than one vowel in the words? But you just change one? I'm getting a headache.......
11/Jul/13 4:42 AM
 |  |

Correct, Kathy. One vowel in each word pair changes to another vowel in the second word. All other letters in the pair remain the same. Perhaps another example would be helpful: for the definition policeman's glass, you should immediately think of cop cup.
