It certainly is ''too early'' Plum, & thx for waiting. It will still be dark for another hour at least. You won't see me here to claim first very often, this time of the year.

Yesterday our grand-twins' school (Kindergarten -5th grade) had a celebration for Veterans. Any family member of a student who had served in the military was invited. They had a coffee & treats reception and then a school assembly program with their choir singing, poems read, a military honor guard, etc. Very touching.

He was getting old and paunchy
And his hair was falling fast,
And he sat around the Legion,
Telling stories of the past.

Of a war that he once fought in
And the deeds that he had done,
In his exploits with his buddies;
They were heroes, every one..

And 'tho More...

Some of you may remember my granddaughter, Katelyn. She is now a senior in high school and is the president of the student body. There was a Veteran's Day ceremony at the school Friday and Katelyn presided. She got to introduce the main speaker, a retired USAF LtCol.

Her mother.

Jump ahead 7 years & Katelyn is a senior... could only locate photos of Katelyn in 2010 on some travels with you & Mrs. Hal... Didn't know you were a full-out AirForce fam - any photos of your LtCol. daughter? What an honor for Katelyn as well as her Mom!
