Hello all!! I have decided to blog today's tough puzzle. The link to the page can be found in the far right column, at the top, under "Check out the Sudoku Blog". Today's puzzle can undoubtedly be solved without using as many steps as I illustrate. However, there are a few possibly useful steps and techniques that I illustrate today. 11/Jun/09 8:53 PM |  |
 Good Morning Worldly People. 12/Jun/09 12:00 AM |  |
 Good morning all. 12/Jun/09 12:00 AM |  |
Back from shopping, a quick cuppa, then to the horrible job of finding homes for it all....and it will only get eaten! 12/Jun/09 12:00 AM |  |
 good Maen 12/Jun/09 12:01 AM |  |
 2:48 What's up, Karen and Dorothea? And everyone else? 12/Jun/09 12:05 AM |  |
 That's a whale of a tail. 12/Jun/09 12:07 AM |  |
I know, GMo. I have that problem, too. My brood whimpers: "There's nothing to eat," so I go to the store and then can't find room to put the stuff when I come back home. 12/Jun/09 12:07 AM |  |
Oh, and thanks for the elephant jokes. Love them. 12/Jun/09 12:08 AM |  |
Good Maen, friends! Dreary day today. A bit of rain expected. (Too bad it's hubby's birthday and he wants to play golf this evening.) 12/Jun/09 12:08 AM |  |
Mo, I did the shopping yesterday, for me, it a matter of actually cooking it... 12/Jun/09 12:11 AM |  |
Rain, Rain is here to stay - but not to bad - you can run though the raindrops 12/Jun/09 12:12 AM |  |
Shiela you allow hubby to go out without you? On his birthday he is suppose to take you to dinner. 12/Jun/09 12:13 AM |  |
Finished my viewing of season 7 of the show 24 --so, I got that out of my system and can resume the task of decluttering the house -- starting with the upstairs today -- I'm not sleeping well, so I need a task to keep going -- I think I need a new mattress, or at least, I'm going to flip it today. 12/Jun/09 12:13 AM |  |
I'm sure I will have dust bunnies the size of that tail when I peek under the bed...Lions and tigers and bunnies -- oh my 12/Jun/09 12:15 AM |  |
June is bike month in Naperville, on Monday, it's bike to work - that's works well for me, as I teach my water classes and usually bike to work for that. I found that I lost my lock key -- popped out of the lock as I was riding along -- this is my 2nd lock of the season so far, my first lock, must of popped out of the basket. 12/Jun/09 12:18 AM |  |
to your hubby, Shiela! I take it there will be some celebrating on the nineteenth hole?Fabulous photo of the humpback whale--who was lucky enough to snag that shot? 12/Jun/09 12:18 AM |  |
Eve, someone forgot to mention that in time! We are actually celebrating on Saturday with whole family. And... Thursday IS his golf league night! 12/Jun/09 12:19 AM |  |
Looks like I'm in time for the race... 12/Jun/09 12:20 AM |  |
I think on a different level -- I'm hoping that someone "borrows" my heavy bike, so I can get a new lighter model - that I can lift up easier onto the back to the car to take to the riding paths.. there is always a reason behind an action 12/Jun/09 12:20 AM |  |
Sounds like your hubby will be enjoying his birthday, Shiela! 12/Jun/09 12:20 AM |  |
 well... 12/Jun/09 12:20 AM |  |
 ARe we there yet? 12/Jun/09 12:21 AM |  |
 go go speed racer 12/Jun/09 12:21 AM |  |
 Just missed!! Congrats, Shiela! 12/Jun/09 12:21 AM |  |
Yes! He will! And so will I for getting 22! 12/Jun/09 12:21 AM |  |
the highlight of my day has passed already -- oh, how can cleaning my room match up to this excitement --- take care 12/Jun/09 12:21 AM |  |
mymare - Check out the Townies by Electra Bike Company. They have aluminum frames. My hubby loves his! In fact, if he didn't have a Townie he wouldn't be able to bike because of his bad back. 12/Jun/09 12:22 AM |  |
do you lay back on that bike -- I have seen that style, but little afraid of them -- gotta be in control and I do stand while I ride at times, these hills...... 12/Jun/09 12:24 AM |  |
Wish I knew someone in Naperville to help you out, Mymare! See ya all later! Have a 12/Jun/09 12:29 AM |  |
No. In fact, your body is completely upright, taking all the strain off your back. My hubby has a 3-speed. They come in cruiser (1 speed), 3-speed, 7-speed (I think) and 21-speed. We really only need one speed here on the island, but Jaime likes his 3 gears. 12/Jun/09 12:29 AM |  |
 Here's their website: http://www.electrabike.com/home.php 12/Jun/09 12:30 AM |  |
Mymare - you are thinking of the recumbent bike. It IS scary looking! The Townie is actually a hybrid of a regular bike and a recumbent although it looks like an ordinary bike. The pedaling motion is forward, resulting in what they call "flat foot technology." 12/Jun/09 12:33 AM |  |
I'm starting to move things back onto our screened porch after giving it a thorough cleaning. How have we managed to accumulate so much stuff, and how did it get so dirty????? 12/Jun/09 12:48 AM |  |
everyone! It accumulates when you put it there "until I find a place for it, or have time to put it away", Jane! At least that's what happens around my house. And there it sits until the clean out, when I wonder why in the world I bought it in the first place 12/Jun/09 1:28 AM |  |
I did the dreaded grocery shopping yesterday, Mo.We buy it, we lug it home, we put it away, then we drag it out and have to cook it! Totally unfair 12/Jun/09 1:33 AM |  |
I often think that when I go to sales. Why did they buy it? Where did they keep it? and, more interesting, why are those other people so keen to buy it? One day I will ask! 12/Jun/09 1:34 AM |  |
I have things that were my mothers or grandmothers(like sewing machine no.2 which I inherited in 1959!) My son doesn't want it, why am I keeping it? I got rid of a lot of stuff 3 years ago but the spaces cleared seem to have refilled, all by themselves. 12/Jun/09 1:37 AM |  |
Talking of inheriting. Has anyone ever inherited something odd, unusual, interesting, with strings attached. What would you like to have inherited? within reason? 12/Jun/09 2:04 AM |  |
I haven't ever inherited anything, but I've had "junk," er, precious knick knacks, given to me as a goodwill gesture by old ladies. 12/Jun/09 2:20 AM |  |
