Believe it or not, Serena, I've seen the falls 'in person', but have never actually 'been there'! (We've always viewed it from the Canadian side!)

We stayed on the Canada side of the falls. We did the Maid of the mist and Ken also did the helicopter trip.

We've done Maid of the Mist, also. I still have the sandals and poncho they supplied. Very fetching outfit.

The answer to yesterday's poozle: SIX

According to two poozlers, this was a repeat. Three others didn't recognize it as such. I'm not naming names....but.... SOMEONE thinks I should keep my dunce cap close by. Will do.

Now, I am off to delete that puzzle!

Hubby and I were having a discussion this morning as to why the yellow school buses (in this area) have white roofs. My guess was it's a deflection type thing....keeps the sun from heating up the interior of the bus. Does anyone here actually know?

Kathy, to the roofs of the school busses also have a number painted on top? If so, they are probably used for tracking from the air.

Thank you, Kathy, I think I am still alive. Though I am not certain if I was sick or not. I do know, I was just a body in the house. Only symptoms I had was being extremely weak and I slept more hours than I was awake.
I still feel week, but able to do more than walk from one spot to the next. More...

We are having a Tweety and Sylvester happenings around here.

The school bus question got my attention. With just a glimpse, I have only learned, that the yellow limos are not yellow, any longer. I forgot the date, but it changed over to yellow-orange a while back. And that in the US, it is a federal law for school buses to be this color.
Hopefully, I More...

Oh, there may be a bird shooting.
I have 3 or 4 red birds, and 4 little birds I do not know what they are, that eat and eat and eat at the bird feeder, with little mess. But then this robin shows up and she picks through the seeds and picks out the sunflower seeds and throws the rest on the ground. A huge mess.

You're going to shoot a ROBIN, Karen?? Isn't that ... un-American??

Maybe a second feeder or platter with only sunflower seeds might fix the problem ...

I've done the Maid of the mist on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. It was a very fun trip, but sadly has now been discontinued. I don't know why, but probably cut backs, for some reason. Too bad!

Lynne and I went on the Maid of the Mist from the Canadian side as well. I took some very fetching pictures of my maid in the mist in that classy blue plastic rain poncho thingy ... suitable for framing.

More likely, an 'enviro' thing. You know that boat is causing some sort of pollution. Or some govt. entity got too greedy and expected an exorbitant fee for the 'privilege' of navigating the area.

Just a figure of speech, Judy.
Even though I have been put in the position to, I do not think I could ever bring harm to any other living thing.

Now, I have been up longer in one period than I have been up in two days. I think I accomplish something, just do not know what and I have had food, so think I will go see how my pillows have managed without me for a wee bit.

But it is an effort to move at the moment. I finished off one of the girl's breakfast this morning. Well, not just hers. She asked for her favorite Mommy breakfast, so I prepared for everyone. She ate half of one sausage patty and Man ate some. So, it was up to me to finish off the rest.
