 2:01 Good night all! 13/Mar/17 12:26 AM |  |
Good Maen. Mymare set her clocks ahead last night. 13/Mar/17 12:26 AM |  |
Keith - I awoke in the night to stoke my woodstove (14F) and realized that bunny croak = rabbit ribbet actually had two vowel movements. That's certainly a case of 'loose vowels.' 13/Mar/17 12:38 AM |  |
Now I'm the one on the receiving end of creative solutions I wasn't expecting. Good job, Keith, on your Nicene quick relish (cunning clue) solution, but it wasn't the one I was looking for. You were definitely on the right track and get full points. As today is Sunday in the western hemisphere perhaps my solution will come to someone who attends a liturgical church? 13/Mar/17 12:40 AM |  |
Beat the member (amusing clue) Keith, again your alternate answer works , but it's still open for figuring the intended solution, which is actually perfectly G rated, maybe Midwestern in vernacular, and not anything to do with the double entendre flavor of the clue. 13/Mar/17 12:47 AM |  |
Shopper's confusion results in the simplest VM word set I've offered since a combo clue is harder than a synonym or definition clue. Just think of why you might be confused in the grocery store. 13/Mar/17 12:50 AM |  |
Thanks, Keith. That's high praise coming from the Vowel Movement Master. You came up with solutions, so it's your turn to add to the scattershot! 13/Mar/17 12:54 AM |  |
all. Wonder of wonders! It's snowing here. Melts immediately upon hitting the ground, though. 13/Mar/17 1:00 AM |  |
Morning all. Plum's at it again. Now I've got work to do. 13/Mar/17 1:02 AM |  |
Halt, I was home ported in Chlstn '69 thru '70 and I remember a bit of snow that winter, something like 57 snow flakes per acre. Those poor folks, some who obviously never seen snow before lost complete control. 13/Mar/17 1:10 AM |  |
 A beautifully colorful array. 13/Mar/17 1:39 AM |  |
 Happy Sunday! 13/Mar/17 2:23 AM |  |
Clobber clubber for beat the member? 13/Mar/17 2:52 AM |  |

Yesterday's photo was Vicki and her nieces. Vicki did the puzzle (she had not been on the site for ages)but had problems logging on when she tried to leave a message. At least one of those feathers came from a rainbow lorikeet. 13/Mar/17 3:16 AM |  |
 Wow! 57 flakes/acre. That's a blizzard to some folks in these parts. 13/Mar/17 3:59 AM |  |
Jeb, I remember ''Little Creek'' harbor (Norfolk) being frozen over. Not quite solid enough to walk on, but frozen... 13/Mar/17 4:05 AM |  |
 I'd venture (a serious fishing guide) master baiter. 13/Mar/17 4:07 AM |  |
 Keith ... I'm about to leave the house. We're close to 22. Wanna race? 13/Mar/17 4:09 AM |  |
Anyone else got their gallumpin' shoes on? 13/Mar/17 4:11 AM |  |
Not much time left. 'Walk-a-bout' starts in 2 weeks, with departure for starting point in 1. Things are crazy, somewhere. 13/Mar/17 4:11 AM |  |
 No? 13/Mar/17 4:11 AM |  |

Hi. I'm considering changing internet providers. Anyone out there have information on Hughes Net? I'd appreciate some insight. 13/Mar/17 5:07 AM |  |
Are you allowed a double vowel movement? If so, what about NOISY TIMEPIECE? 13/Mar/17 6:32 AM |  |
Morning all, beautiful feathers. We have a bright red sky this morning. 13/Mar/17 6:55 AM |  |
 Noisy time piece? Click-clock? Oops! 13/Mar/17 7:30 AM |  |
It seems we are to be hit with a snow storm tomorrow night. Along with the rest of the East Coast. Perhaps we will actually be able to use the new snow blower! Well, I won't. That's hubby's domain. I am the official car/truck/porch cleaner-offer. 13/Mar/17 7:38 AM |  |
DorA: Our ship steamed up to the Yorktown weapons depot to take on ammo and it was near solid ice. I had to go forward at sundown to take in the union jack. The wind was howling, the deck was ice covered and the wind kept blowing me over to the rail. No way to deal with that up at the bowsprit so flag stayed there. The OOD just shrugged his shoulders. 13/Mar/17 8:08 AM |  |
 Tickle, tickle. 2:48. Personal best. 13/Mar/17 8:33 AM |  |
I'm back from the ceramics art show. Saw works by many familiar and famous names. It was a nice family outing. We all went. I also happened to be interviewed at the arts center by college kids for a school assignment they were doing. 13/Mar/17 9:08 AM |  |
Vicki - If you're here again today trying to post, hope it works. back. 13/Mar/17 9:14 AM |  |
 A good start Kathy, but I was looking for a third word. 13/Mar/17 9:53 AM |  |
Morning all. Today's puzzle asks you to start with a single letter and make an seven letter word, and then go back to a single letter. You have to do this by adding (or subtracting) one letter at a time and making a word each time. You can rearrange the order of the letters. Clues as to what the More... 13/Mar/17 10:01 AM |  |
DOES ANYONE WANT TO BE BOTTOM OF PAGE ONE.This comparatively new keyboad doesn't have a warning light on the caps lock key, so I frequently forget to turn it off. 13/Mar/17 10:06 AM |  |
There has not been a rush of contenders so I'll just have to claim BOTP 13/Mar/17 10:10 AM |  |
