Some things make you so mad, that you have to laugh rather than cry.

Last night I posted a topic for discussion on the Open Forum Page:

Oh yes - an update on Baby Gabriel - Last week the State of Oregon gave full custody and allowed the adoption of Baby Gabriel to his foster parents. However, as punishment for their actions of wanting to adopt Baby Gabriel, they can no longer be foster parents to any child in the future. I More...

Dave: Thanks for posting Kristy Lee Cook's video. I knew she was still in the hunt and everyone here is cheering for her. I hadn't seen her before - Not bad, not bad at all. Kristy.

Eve, the short sightedness of this agency amazes me. How many people won't volunteer for fostering just because of the type of trauma this couple (and child) went through? I knew a couple who wanted to adopt the child they were fostering and it took over a year to get approval. They took the baby More...

Kathy - This child was a "crack baby", they were the only parents this child had really known. Both of his parents had their parental rights permanently revoked and when the foster parents filed for adoption, the State wanted to send the child to his grandmother in Mexico (who didn't More...

Oh! BTW we had our first taste of Vegemite this morning! Thank you, Kathy! It was different. I found it to be salty. If anyone has a favorite way of "preparing" it, please let me know on my page so I won't miss it. Thanks!

Good afternoon to all! The young woman in the photo must be going to a Sudoku gathering as she is dressed ti kill and has a pretend boa!

Speaking of Sudoku gatherings, André and/or Fiona, if you do manage to call Mo and Ouima, give them my best wishes, and let them know they can have a bottle of wine each charged to your credit cards!

Fiona, give a high five to Scott for me, and ask him if he'll walk with me when I go into the 'higher risk' areas here in Ottawa. It will be nice to have his protection!

Claude - you can be very proud of your French doubles pair, Clement & Llodra!! I watched the third set They played great!!! I understand they are good friends. Looked there were lots of French fans who made the trip to Winston-Salem, NC. Tomorrow will be interesting.

Kathy - that's a terrible thing to say! It's delicious (not different), almost better than chocolate. A whole country can't be wrong.

Orianne, fancy a quick trip to Brisbane? Mine need a bit of attention. Its a lovely day today - getting up to about 26C sunny and warm.

And when you're done in Maryland, Orianne, you can head on down to Florida!
Vicki - can't believe you stopped in right after I badmouthed Vegemite, a gift from you!! I hate to sound ungrateful. The Tim Tams were MUCH better. We split them among the 2007 SA meeting attendees, & I'll bet More...

Actually Kathy, I prefer vegemite to tim tams. I know it sounds strange but I just don't get the whole tim tam thing. I think there are nicer biscuits than them - just my personal taste though.

I forgot to tell you that we found Ruby, our neighbours dog, on Friday. I went down to our local vet to report her missing and just after I left some kind lady brought her in. She needs a new dog tag as the mobile phone number on it is out of date.
She found a hole under our fence to escape from the yard. It's fixed now.

I would love to go to Brisbane but not to wash floors, I hate it...I complain a lot and argue that I did not retire to become a housemaid but there are times when a must is a must...

Oh well Orianne, you are still welcome to visit even if you won't wash the floors. I was hoping to entice you with the warm weather but I don't stand a chance against Kathy in Florida. Maybe a bit of bribery with vegemite(?) and tim tams would do the trick.

So glad you found Ruby Vicki and if it is not to complicated can you tell me what vegemite is or tim tams? I am lost

Vegemite is a spread for bread, toast or crackers. It's thick, salty and black - described as a concentrated yeast extract and full of vitamin B. All good Aussie children are bought up on vegemite sandwiches.
Tim Tams are a chocolate coated biscuit. 2 layers of biscuit with a chocolate(or More...

Orianne, check here to find out about vegemite. It is a salty, highly flavored spread for toast, bread or crackers. Best thinly spread. High in the B vitamines. Used as a base for stock for soups, and for vegemite spins ( only recipe I have seen )
