Amazing that ceecee and I, both from FLA,
know that these are crocus.

Guess ceecee is also a transplant from the north,
where spring is heralded by crocus, tulip,
hyacinth, and forsythia.

Wendy, thanks for referring us to Nal's page. What a sad day. Perhaps the crocuses in the photo can be a tribute to Rocko.

I know how you feel Keith, Nikki will be 14 in Sept. We don't know how long she will be with us, but we have come to cherish ever day. I watched Nal's youtube and then read Stella's poem, and I now trying to type this through tears. Rocko was very loved and I am sure he knew it.

Simon's 12. Nikki is 14. We've had dogs live to 16 or 17. Rocko left way too soon. I think it is worse when it is not expected.

Here's to all our pets, those we have with us, and those we've loved and lost. They add a special dimension to our lives and we're blessed to have them.

Cathy: Here, Here to that. The funny thing about pets; the way we love them, they are never lost nor really gone; they seem to remain even as we acquire the 'next' ones. So to Rocko and sweet prince.

Thanks André I just wish I could do something for Nal. Hubby just asked why I was in tears - after I explained he joined me in re-watching Nal's tribute - now he understands.
My dog Houpette is now 15 and after years of never visiting a vet things are starting to go wrong and we are more and more often at his clinic.

Nicki from Fla: I'm transplanted from northern California, where I had crocus, snowdrops, iris and daffodils greeting the spring. Which part of the state are you from?

Nal, I'm so sorry about the loss of Rocko. It breaks my heart to hear of you losing your good friend.

Andre, so good to see you. Jake sends his love x

Judy/Bendigo-Saw your comment yesterday about killing any snakes that entered your house (without checking to see if they're poisonious). Bud and Jim were a couple of drinking buddies who worked as airplane mechanics in Atlanta. One day the airport was fogged in and they were stuck in the hangar with nothing to do.

We have had a GREAT three days with our sudoku visitors! We have sampled delicious chocolates in a blind taste test, enjoyed exquisite wines that I didn't know existed, climbed a mountain pass at 10,800', and chatted and laughed. Our guest and her husband have brought a touch of class and elegance to our rustic, mountain retreat. And she has an awesome dog to boot!
And on to her ...
