Good Maen, everyone!
Rainy today. It was getting a bit dusty around here on the roads. This should settle things down a bit.

Good evening everyone.
Thank goodness we've finally had rain and at the right time. There was a huge bushfire raging just outside town and threatening quite a lot of homes but the rain has helped put it out. Naturally with the help of about 60 firefighters, two water bomber planes and a helicopter.

Hello John. I suppose you have sunshine today???
14/Mar/10 12:25 AM
 |  |

Shiela - we've been without rain for so long which is unusual for the south coast, we usually have summer drizzle but not this year. The rain couldn't have come at a better time, except for the poor motor bike members camping here in Albany, but I'm sure they would understand!!

It's Jollyboy's birthday today!

No Shiela the only sunshine is from my wife.

Anne, we've had more snow than usual the last couple of years. Maybe we're getting YOUR moisture! We'll gladly send it back!
I remember one summer like yours a few years ago and I'd rather it rained every day than have that threat of wildfires! (As you can tell, I am not on a flood plain!)

How sweet you are, John! Say 'Hello' to Mrs. Sunshine for me!

Good morning. A bit of drizzly rain tonight. That means I will not have to water the garden tomorrow.

'Seven Brides' Oh how I loved that one. Netflix just sent 'The sea Hawk' with Errol Flynn Australia's boy.

Spring, Spring, Spring is a great song to cheer a person up. Johnny Mercer was an incredible lyricist.

Anne - I'm glad you're getting rain. I sent it your way so that Jaime and I would have a lovely, sunny day for our Jacksonville Beach shopping excursion today.

If you've ever worked for a boss who reacts before getting the facts and thinking things through, you will love this!

Arcelor-Mittal Steel, feeling it was time for a shakeup, hired a new CEO. The new boss was determined to rid the company of all slackers.

On a tour of the More...

...and here's a naughty one:

A bakery owner hires a young female clerk who likes to wear very short skirts and thong panties.

One day a young man enters the store, glances at the clerk and at the loaves of bread behind the counter. Noticing her short skirt and the location of the More...

Yes spring is here in north central tx. I heard it come in last weekend. Out in my back yard. I could hear spring coming before i saw it. Then there it was, coming over the treetops, geese heading north. So here it comes northerners. They might even be there by now.

I know, I know, it's only one ! per sentence ending. However, don't you ever feel that one's not enough for really exciting time? Sometimes the exuberance of the spirit cannot be contained in the conventions of grammar!

I'm trying to get my spirits up because before Monday I have to grade 48 (2 page) math assessments and 40 (4 page) social studies assessments (I procrastinated a week on this one :C) and write up at least 7 parent conference notes.

Alas, only one answer to yesterday's puzzle. Ever the optimist, I shall post it again....(I can hear Fiona laughing while reclining on sofa #1, #2, or maybe #3, or #4?)

What phrase is represented below?

Sigh_

Should butter be spread on the bread prior to the mustard in the making of a corned beef and swiss on rye sandwich?
14/Mar/10 3:19 AM
 |  |

Yes, if you are going to put butter AND mustard on it, the butter should be first before the mustard. It keeps the mustard from soaking into the bread too much - since the mustard is water based. The butter provides a waterproof coating (kinda) on the bread.
But, then again, I don't put butter on sandwiches at all and I still eat them!
14/Mar/10 3:36 AM
 |  |

I think so, Jeb. Keeps the mustard from soaking into the bread. I butter bread (on one side) before adding jelly (PB&J) for the same reason.
