Thought you were here, Shosho. Are you getting slow in your advanced age? 15/May/13 1:20 AM |  |
Anyway, I have informed the child, when she learns how to ask for what she wants, in a polite way, I will be alright to prepare for her, her second breakfast. So far, in the last 20 minutes, she has not comprehended on how to ask politely. 15/May/13 1:22 AM |  |
Good to see you Dorthea. 15/May/13 1:30 AM |  |
 I see you. 15/May/13 1:30 AM |  |
I am truly amazed at the amount of people on this site who have chicken or chicken related avatars and smilies. 15/May/13 1:31 AM |  |
Cathy, having a toilet is very important but our guy took the door was supposed to paint it. When we told him to bring it back it was still unpainted. I am getting less happy with this person as time goes on. Thank goodness he has only 3 more days of work here, then he will be out of my house. 15/May/13 1:35 AM |  |
Good morning to all! Seal? Otter? Definetly not a chicken Karen. 15/May/13 1:35 AM |  |
Serena, as you have been here longer you will have more, just think of different things then find a smile for it. It really doesn't take long to get more than you can handle. 15/May/13 1:37 AM |  |
Maybe I should go out and find some food related smilies. I'm a little short in some of the food groups. I have diary and that's about it. 15/May/13 1:37 AM |  |

Chris Hadfield, the first Canadian Commander of the International Space Station, returned to the ground last night. If you haven't seen or heard this already, this is his final tribute to the mission in space:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaOC9danxNo 15/May/13 1:38 AM |  |
I'm pretty sure I can't come up with a reason to go find a chicken smilie. Even ''National Chicken Day'' isn't doing it for me. 15/May/13 1:39 AM |  |
Sue - your stories make me very worried to get to Taos in June and see how the renovation of the family (Jeanie and her sibs) vacation home has gone. It was 'coordinated' by siblings living in Colorado, Texas, and Arkansas, and the work was done in New Mexico! Pictures look good, but we will see.I am mostly just ready for summer to get here (13 more school days if I was counting). 15/May/13 2:22 AM |  |
Yup, I was up ...I say ... I was up and gone. The chicken can can,I say she can can. 15/May/13 2:30 AM |  |
 Happy Tuesday!'Ain't nobody here but us chickens!' 15/May/13 2:58 AM |  |
Good mAen, good people. Adding my prayers for Kathy's Rob. 15/May/13 3:05 AM |  |
How time flies. On Friday Burl asked me to be an 'IT guy' at his place of employment. I took country roads back home and thoroughly enjoyed a few hours of 'get away' soaking in the spring blossoms everywhere. Saturday I cleaned out a fridge, deep cleaned about half the kitchen, returned More... 15/May/13 3:20 AM |  |

Whew, Plum just listening to you has me tired!I made myself a cappuccino in this morning! Oooh does that go down nicely! 15/May/13 3:49 AM |  |

I think we're having fish for dinner, but for some reason, I've got a craving for chicken ... 15/May/13 5:24 AM |  |
This post from Kathy was from last night. I would have posted it earlier, but I was out running errands most of the day. Heartfelt thanks to EVERYONE for all the good wishes, thoughts, prayers, & hugs being sent our way. It seems so strange to be on the receiving end instead of the giving More... 15/May/13 5:48 AM |  |
Thanks for the message from Kathy, Jane. All of us are concerned and wishing them both an easier time than they expect. 15/May/13 6:17 AM |  |
Got the lawn mowed, now I must get going on errands. Serena.... if you'd like one of my chicken smilies, help yourself..... More... 15/May/13 6:26 AM |  |
Oh, Heidi, you are just chicked out. 15/May/13 7:07 AM |  |
Morning all,it's chicken day you say, well Heidi has the cutest and funniest lot of chickens I have ever seen. 15/May/13 7:20 AM |  |
Thanks to the incompetance of AT&T I have been offline for four days. I'm thinking of switching to Comcast now. Any suggestions? 15/May/13 7:51 AM |  |
I'm really in the mood for chicken tonight, but I'm off to our Cattlemen's meeting soon, with a steak dinner. I'll just have to force myself to have steak. 15/May/13 8:07 AM |  |
DotCom - I just switched to internet DSL through my local phone company (not AT&T). AT&T is on my blacklist, too. I can't get Comcast because I'm too far off the road, but many people I know like it a lot. In many areas it's faster than phone company DSL. Cons as far More... 15/May/13 8:28 AM |  |
DotCom, I just switched from Comcast but it was a price issue not a service issue. After I made a 1 yr commitment to DSL, Comcast lets me know about lower price options. Apparently they don't publish them but will tell you about them when you try to cancel. 15/May/13 9:25 AM |  |
The latest update from Kathy & Rob: Late yesterday afternoon we FINALLY got the report from the cardiologist that did the TEE. He broke the news to us that Rob's mitral valve is defective & needs to be repaired. We were hoping to be able to return to Tampa for the surgery, but the dr. More... 15/May/13 10:22 AM |  |
Thank-you for the update, June. It sounds as though Rob is receiving the best of care. 15/May/13 10:43 AM |  |
We are seeing the first Sun we have seen for a while. I would like to be outside enjoying it, but I have a mountain of laundry! (Yes, yes, I know we are not supposed to use that kind of foul/fowl language) 15/May/13 10:49 AM |  |
Thanks for the update, Jane. And to Kathy and Rob: Barbara and I send our best wishes for speedy and full recovery. Good to know you're in good hands. 15/May/13 11:26 AM |  |
Thanks for that link Greg. Part of his performance was on the news last night. 15/May/13 11:39 AM |  |
I'm still sending good thoughts of encouragement and well being to Kathy and Rob. 15/May/13 11:40 AM |  |
We are having our 3rd wet day in a row. Until this morning's rain, which I haven't measured yet, we have had over 60ml (2 1/2 ''). Things have gone from nice and dry to quite wet under foot. We need the rain so no complaints here. 15/May/13 11:43 AM |  |
Thanks to the folks who left kind comments on my ring tail possum pic and Kate who went further through the photos. The ring tails are beautiful little creatures that make nests in dense shrubbery, but as youkidme noted, they are very fond of roof cavities, where they can create chaos. Hopefully the gutter guard we have installed will prevent them from doing that. 15/May/13 11:47 AM |  |
CP and I'm off to do some housework and finish cooking Pea and Ham soup - my favourite variety! Enjoy the rest of your day folks. 15/May/13 11:49 AM |  |
