I like this:

Ancient Chinese proverb:
An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time,
place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break.

THE MANAGER.
A man in a hot air balloon realized he was lost. He reduced altitude and spotted a woman below. He descended a bit more and shouted, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago but I don't know where I am."
The woman below replied, More...

THE BROKEN LAWN MOWER

Marriage is a relationship in which one person is always right, and the other is usually the husband.

When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed. But, somehow I always had something else to take care of More...

I'm having a little problem in my neighborhood - will this nice weather the windows are open - I have been woken up the past 2 night from neighbors enjoying the outdoors with their talking - once at 4:40 am and last night at 1:30 - it sounds like like they are right in the room with me - I guess the silent night really carries the sound.

Male or Female? You might not have known this, but a lot of non-living objects are actually either male or female. Here are some examples:

FREEZER BAGS: They are male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.

PHOTOCOPIERS: These are female, because once More...

I'm off to St. Augustine tomorrow for a "girls' getaway". Should be a fun trip. We'll be staying at a beach resort, just 10 minutes from the historic district and only a few miles from Marineland, where they have an interactive dolphin facility. I've packed my bathing suit and a couple of bottles of good wine. What else do I need?

ATTITUDE

There once was a woman who woke up one morning,
looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.

'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.'

So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the More...

Eve - Do you have World Market in your neck of the woods? They have the wonderful ginger snaps! Don't remember the brand, but they're made in a Swedish village that does nothing but make ginger snaps!

Oops! Somehow a mysterious "the" snuck into the second sentence of my note to Eve. Must be the gremlins!

Jane - never heard of them - this berg doesn't have a TJ's nearer than 200 miles away (soon to be 150 miles - Redding Calif - over two major mountain ranges). We do however have a Costco in Medford - the biggest city between Redding & Euguene (450 miles). TJ's Triple Ginger Cookies are More...

Heidi - So do I - love to dance in the rain, that is! My hubby tells me I dance to the beat of a different drummer, and the drummer is definitely NOT diffident! Wednesday night will find me dancing on the beach at St. Augustine under the full moon!!!!

Eve - World Market is also known as "Cost Plus World Market" or "Cost Plus" in other parts of the country. The brand of the Swedish cookies is Nyakers. I've had Anna's, and they are very good, but I prefer Nyakers. Very gingery and crispy! Of course, it's all a matter of personal taste!

I don't think I'll be doing any shopping on this trip, however. The four of us will be riding in one car, and we have a pretty tight itinerary. Oh well, next time!!!

A fifteen year-old boy came home with a new Chevrolet Avalanche and his parents began to yell and scream, 'Where did you get that truck???!!!' He calmly told them, 'I bought it today.'

'With what money?' demanded his parents. They knew what a Chevrolet Avalanche cost.

'Well,' said More...
