Sudoku Puzzles

I haven't been here for some time and smiled when I read Rosemary's question about the number of TV's in people's homes. Acquiring and fixing old TV's is my husband's hobby. We have 4 in the house - and 40+ in the carport, his workshop, and anywhere else he can find to store them. I think I win!

We have 2 colour TV's and a teeny little B&W TV in my son's room (gift from well meaning uncle!) and anther colour portable in the shed waiting to go to the beach van. How many DVD players and VCR's does everyone have? (does anyone have a VCR anymore?)

Fiona, do take care of yourself! I just can't imagine living with the pain for that long period of time! Hey even a minute seems like hours when you're in pain! For the next weeks or so, pick up the wine glass with your right hand. take two in the morning and rest!

Judy, I have a Sony television in my office which I turn on in the morning to exercise with. Other than that it gathers dust simply because I've been too busy to watch anything. Now if I even go near it in the evening, I hyperventilate thinking of all the things I have to do. Isn't that pathetic?!?

Oooooh Rosemary, how do you do it? Here I was ready to congratulate myself for finally breaking the 2 minute mark by 2 seconds and you come along with that ridiculous score nearing the 1MINUTE mark! Argh!!!

Started at 7.30am, home for 1/2 hour and back again till 7pm. Sigh all I can say is....

I can recommend a 'Wii" to anybody who approved of electronic babysitting. (especially when Rosemary, Mon, Angie and Col are trying to have a little drinkie and a natter)

Rosemary - the 40+ TV's are all operational! They're the ones he's fixed. I haven't tried counting the ones he "cannibalises" for spare parts. As fast as he sells or gives TV's away, he acquires more. It's incredible how many relatively new TV's, with relatively minor faults end up at the re-cycling centre.

Fiona - did you say a little click put it right? I want to know how you did that!

We have 1 x TV, 1 x DVD player and 1 x VCR.

I am a little bit excited about next Wednesday. Apart from the Coolangatta lunch - which should be great (woo hoo), I am flying down to Sydney in the afternoon (for work) and will be catching up with eldest child, who I miss dreadfully (little dance).

why are cellos better than violins?..........................................................they burn longer (grin)

BTW, I am a big JD fan - so are my kids. Middle child has been known to do a mean Captain Jack Sparrow impersonation, camp walk and all, straight through the middle of the food court at Tweed City Shopping Centre.

Julie - glad you enjoyed "my slice of heaven" we are now going into spring and the joys of this season is just about as jubulent as Autumn. Difference is pastel colors vs. the bright reds and golds.

It is a wonderful place to live.

Nancy - Thanks for the Birthday site link. It was a bit unslettleing to know I'm nearing 2 billion seconds old. It sounds better as 60 years (not much though).

Martha - Next time I'm in Tweed SC, if I see Jack Sparrow, I'll know who he belongs to!

TV count - 2 but second one in bedroom very seldom used.
1 DVD home theatre system
1 DVD/VCR - in bedroom, seldom used

Story was a bit different with 2 kids at home - once they started earning money they bought every TV/VCR/DVD/Stereo/XBox available.

Reality shows - my favourite is 'The Amazing Race' - Does anyone like that? - I even live for the repeats (how sad is that!). I love the places they go, the challenges they face and watching their behaviour. It's a real character study.
