Kathy, you and hubs are sooooo spot on about 'computer years.' We've had my old laptop since June 2008, had the hard drive replaced halfway through its life 3 years ago. I could get another HD, but why, if the motherboard won't last another 3 years which I suspect it won't?

So what do y'all think: Is a computer life equal to 10, 12, 15 or more calendar years? At 6 years old, my dying one is older than most, so 15 years would put it at 90.

New laptop ordered, and lucky me, the website had a price cut today. Not only were the models I was looking at on sale, but a higher end configuration for even less than the ones I was eyeballing. Happy, happy, happy!

Your are not going to believe this. Lizzy G sent me an answer and it ended up in my email. Will miracles never cease. The email part not the answer from Lizzy.

Hi all! Well it truly is a historic day for all the Scots, I honestly never ever imagined this day would come. What would I have voted if I had been in Scotland today? In a way I am glad I don't have to make that decision. You have to live in Scotland to be able to vote. I will not sleep well tonight, that is for sure!

All I can remember today is seeing Braveheart IN Scotland some years back ... hearing Mel Gibson's shout of 'Freeeeeeeedom' ... and witnessing an amazing display of patriotism as the entire theater of normally reserved Scots erupted in cheers, screaming, and some crying! I was brought to tears myself! May it all go well for you, Bonny Scotland!

I will be watching the results in Scotland as well. Either way the vote goes, it will be interesting to watch the changes that are bound to occur.
