Good Maen, good people. Thank you, Joyce for leaving enough room to let me squeeze my good Maen in besides yours.

Lots of people around that saloon. I think that the big cube is for newspapers or magazines to be sold.

'A bunch of the boys were whooping it up at the Yellow Dog Saloon...' Can someone finish this?

It's from the poem 'The Shooting of Dan McGrew.' Here's the first few lines:

A bunch of the boys were whooping it up
in the Malamute saloon;
The kid that handles the music-box
was hitting a jag-time tune;
Back of the bar, in a solo game,
sat Dangerous Dan McGrew,
And More...

Thanks so much HalT, I had forgotten Robert Service so now I went back and read the whole thing and several more of his poetry. It really made my day.

all. We've been to the Red Dog in Juneau. An experience not to be missed. I don't recall the big cube being there when we were. Thanks for the memories of Robert Service & Dan McGrew HalT.

Only four ECCO poozlers this week, Judy, Plum, Joyce and Wombat.

Hardly worth the effort, is it?

I share Peter's disappointment that so few people had a go at his ECCO poozle. A lot of work is involved and he makes a lot fewer mistakes than I do, so his efforts deserve support. It is not that we expect any praise for setting poodles (but we don't mind that either), but it is frustrating to More...

Peter - I hope my appreciation rewards your effort.

I'm sorry I don't get to them more often. They are fun.

If you really are uninterested, no sweat, but if you want to have more poozles you need to have a go on a regular basis and submit an answer even if you don't get them all.
Perhaps we have made them too hard sometimes, but Peter and I will be trying to include mainly easy questions with a few you might have to Google. MORE FOLLOWING

Can I suggestt that you turn back to Wednesday's page and submit an answer, even if you can't get them all. Hopeully Peter will be inspired to continue.
Well anyway, this is number 33 and beer o'clock. So make mine a Pure Blonde landlord.

I actually love how Peter does his poozles by not publishing the answers, I always feel I have several days to accomplish them; one time I tried a week later & good ole Peter was willing to correct all my mistakes despite how late I was!

It is nice that all the regulars are rallying around Peter, but if you want to have these poodles available some more responses would help.
