Chris... everyone.
WILL need today!
Not as warm today as yesterday, but still warm considering it's our last day of January.

But... it's NOT the last day of January... It's already February!

Good Maen all! Morning Shiela and Chris!
Finally made it here a bit earlier.
Yep - the year is just zipping by!
We have rain today, Shiela...no snow

Yesterday we had 51°F. That's a bit too warm for this time of year.
(For here, anyway!)

Yummy, fragrant jasmine! (backwards 9-1 works today)

Good Maen, Chris, Shiela and Vici! Warm day on the island. At the rate this winter is going, we won't have to buy any more firewood this year and, in fact, will probably have some left for next winter!

I'm not complaining about the warm weather by any means, but I miss the snow in Colorado!

That was the first snow I'd seen since leaving Richmond, VA 7 1/2 years ago!

Oops! That's wrong. We saw some snow last January when we drove to Cleveland. Didn't get to play in it, however!!

HI all! We've got a few flakes of snow today, just a few mind you!
Only Peter found the answer to yesterday's poozle, which was 18(the next number written with an even number of letters!).

Another perfume to imagine - Jasmine.
Why doesn't my computer emit the appropriate scent?

(second thoughts: hackers might misuse that facility by downloading faecal odours)

[third thoughts: it's OK. I needn't have faecal stink in my computer 'perfume cartridge'.]

Fiona,
Uggg! I spent a long time trying to do yesterday's puzzle as a mathematical series.

Beautiful picture of blooming Jasmine. I'm glad it's not mine. The Jasmine would be brown and withered.

Rayray.... Fiona said it wasn't a math problem.

Oh Heidi. I didn't realise that.
Still. I suppose it exercised my mind !
- what is left of my mind after editing that last Court statement.

By the way, HalT. Thanks for your encouraging comment on the poem.
Since then I have much improved the formatting of the illustration (arrangement).
If I replace the present version with the new one, I shall lose your comment, so I won't. I'd rather keep your comment!

A Priest in a small town was called away for an emergency on a Sunday afternoon while he was about to hear confessions.

Not wanting to leave the confessional unattended, and having no one else to assist him he called his Rabbi friend from across the street and asked him to cover for More...

Kathy V, I saw War Horse a couple of weeks ago. A good deal of the horse scenes were computer graphics. They are getting so good at graphics it makes it hard to tell the difference from real.
As to the actual war it was as bad as depicted or maybe worse.

Another recent movie is "Red Tails" about the Tuskegee Airmen. Computer graphics was also used to make enough planes for the convoy scenes. I also liked this movie.

Had to go see a vampire this morning.
Thing II and I generally do not eat until 10:30 or 11 on most mornings, but since I could not eat this morning I have been starving since I woke up. Don't worry, I fed Thing II. Actually prepared her something to eat when I prepared Thing I's breakfast and packed a snack for the trip to the big city.

Karen I am usually the "Spunky Old Broad" but not today. I haven't had a "Working Naked Day" since I lost my body back in '95. That was at home with the shades drawn only.

Had a bit of road rage this morning. I must be missing something, because for some reason when there is really dense fog, I turn my lights on and reduce my speed, why don't other people?
The fog was so thick this morning, that when my girls stepped off the porch this morning, I could not see them from the door.

Would be working on Fiona's puzzle if Harry would wait on himself. He thinks he needs lunch.

Going down one road, that on a normal day takes about 15 minutes, today it took 35 minutes and I had a nit on my tail that was not using lubricant.
Took the curve to get on the big highway and it was clear skies and the nit that was on my tail stayed there all the way to the big city and it was a two lane highway.
