Why don't I remember those houses painted. I remember the street, even though I didn't go there often. My father used to take me to visit some people he knew. 02/May/10 12:10 AM |  |
How did the MRI go, Dorthea? (I get to have surgery on my trigger thumb.) 02/May/10 12:10 AM |  |

today is my niece's wedding day - my last girlie day - last time to dress up and kick up my heels -- just have to get though the "reading" and I'm fine - it's bittersweet day also -- my Mom died today last year -- so she will be there in More... 02/May/10 12:14 AM |  |
Congratulations to your niece & nephew-in-law, mymare! I'm glad the rains swept past, leaving you a sunny day. It is bittersweet when someone you always hoped would be there isn't. She will be there in spirit, I'm sure. If not, in all of your hearts. 02/May/10 12:21 AM |  |
The MRI went well. They called in a specialist to stick the needle in. My veins are awful. They move and collapse, but he got me at first try and no problems. 02/May/10 12:22 AM |  |
Jerry - I'm surprised you didn't give the following reference to your fair city of Washougal, unless you wanted to keep us all from wanting to move there. http://www.washougal.biz/ 02/May/10 12:23 AM |  |
 everyone!!!It's here! 02/May/10 12:33 AM |  |

Well having fun with medical predicaments everyone elses' not mine. Trying to get dad's medical bills straightened out, had to assure hospital that I would get brother after his colonoscopy (they wouldn't start until I promised) durn lil bro wouldn't get into my car insisting he was fine so I followed him home. Now get to transfer my mom to her new nursing home in my dad's town. 02/May/10 12:38 AM |  |
 Mornin' Y'all 02/May/10 12:40 AM |  |
Whew! I finally have some free time. Jerry, just read your volume on how to give a cat a pill. There's a children's book, very short and for beginning readers but cute on how to give a cat a bath! The illustrations are a hoot! 02/May/10 12:41 AM |  |
Well speak of the (is it censored to say the refrain?) 02/May/10 12:42 AM |  |
everyone! I'm happy the MRI went well, Dorthea. I had a tech once that did such a lousy job with the needle my whole arm was black and blue.I know you'll feel your Mom and Dad there with you today, mymare. Off to check out More... 02/May/10 12:42 AM |  |
Daplap, I didn't do much research, just a quick Google. I didn't see that one... Re: people moving there. When the population # exceeds the elevation #, it's time to move. 02/May/10 12:43 AM |  |

Dorthea, I know what you've gone through... Last time they took blood (when my blood finally started to flow after at LEAST 27 tries, it seemed) my blood immediately sucked BACK into my arm!!! They then had to go to the other arm! Then there was the time they went completley through and I had a More... 02/May/10 12:44 AM |  |
Just made a for you Jerry!!!Was going to pour a but thought nope!Got the for you instead! 02/May/10 12:44 AM |  |
 Bean 02/May/10 12:44 AM |  |
Ooooh, Dorthea you poor thing! Had three nurses trying to find my veins too in the hospital. One tried three times then went to get help. The second tried twice and then went to get supervisor. She got it the first time by then I in tears thanked her and then asked why wasn't she here the first time! 02/May/10 12:48 AM |  |
Good Morning, shosho, Thanks I needed that. Now I must start fixing breakfast for Maggie & J.R. Of course they always get a heaping bowl. 02/May/10 12:49 AM |  |
Well have much to do! DIL and grandson are coming at the end of the month!!! 02/May/10 12:50 AM |  |
Shosho, good to see you! When my hubby had a colonoscopy afterwards he insisted on going to eat at an all-you-can-eat buffet. The next day he had NO RECOLLECTION of eating there! Next time drive him! 02/May/10 12:51 AM |  |
Happy Saturday!Mymare: you are a Princess no matter how your outward appearance Dino: great photo! That is my mental image of SF!Kathy: you didn't tell us it was a Booby prize 02/May/10 1:10 AM |  |
 Bean: to you! 02/May/10 1:11 AM |  |
Same here, Shiela. After the procedure, the next thing I knew, I woke up on the couch. I didn't remember the drive home at all. Hubby said later he felt as though he was transporting a dead body! 02/May/10 1:12 AM |  |
My husband and I had colonoscopies on successive days last year, so we could transport each other. Seeing each other "that way" was very disconcerting, but we decided that it was just a window to the future ... what we will be like if we live long enough! Yikes ... take me now!! 02/May/10 1:20 AM |  |
 Boy, Kathy, Am I ever glad I didn't do that one... 02/May/10 1:45 AM |  |
 Coconuts, I mean. 02/May/10 1:46 AM |  |
 Of course I haven't done THAT one either. 02/May/10 1:47 AM |  |
My memories of SF are somewhat different. Most of my visits there were while I was in the Navy, in the '60's... Hmmmmm. 02/May/10 1:53 AM |  |
Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like: When loved ones come home, always run to greet them. Take naps. Stretch before rising. Run, romp, and play daily. Thrive on attention and let people touch you. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do. On More... 02/May/10 1:57 AM |  |
The 'oscopy' part and pre-prep are no fun at all, but the stuff they give you to help you relax sure is. I've never gotten the Dr. to write me an open ended weekender script for that stuff whatever it is. I can't understand why he is being such an old stick in the mud about it. 02/May/10 1:58 AM |  |
I aspire to those things every day, Jerry! 02/May/10 1:59 AM |  |
