Hi Suzy, yes I think if things would have improved I probably would have had them removed but they said the movement would remain restricted so I kept it.
Was your wiring after a road accident my injuries were?
02/Jul/08 5:04 PM
 |  |

I broke a steering wheel with my face in a head on collision Mo. It's exactly half a lifetime ago now...
02/Jul/08 5:13 PM
 |  |

Suzi that sounds absolutely ghastly...we are so lucky you are here to tell the tale
02/Jul/08 5:56 PM
 |  |

In a subsequent accident( I wasn't driving in the previous one) The steering wheel broke my nose and sternum. The latter was a re-break after the first one. They were twenty years apart and hopefully that is the lot.

Speed was the common denominator in the accidents. Although not as excesive as some people drive now but too fast in the wrong situation.
02/Jul/08 6:08 PM
 |  |

Oh Mo...you too...that is awful....I can think of easier ways to demolish steering wheels and it doesn't involve speed, accidents or any of your anatomy.
It is that truly awful situation where all one can say is how unlucky you where, to have an accident, but also how lucky you are to have survived to tell the tale.

To all the Canukes A Happy Canada Day. Love your jokes Greg.

True Bean many do not survive and all too often they are very young. I know that when I was last in Oz there seemed to be a nationwide campaign to stop kids driving like dare devils and killing themselves, very often on country roads. We had wondered about the tyre marks on lonely roads then read about the high numbers of fatalities and bad injuries.

There's a new campaign now GannieMo, they show young men driving like idiots and thinking they're cool, then someone will make a face and waggle their little finger.

One of my memories of after my accident (don't remember anything about the actual accident) was after I came out of More...

Wow Suzy you were lucky. I'm not sure how many kids pay attention to fright tactics they always think 'It'll never happen to me' I remember having that attitude myself.

On reflection....... I also thought I'd never be old......

We are so fortunate to live where there are good medical facilities. These accident stories are a good reminder to drive carefully. it's cold, wet and windy here at the moment and I have to drive to Melbourne tomorrow. But the good part of that will be to see my daughter performing traditional Japanese dance called Jiutamai. I'll try to take some pics and post them.
02/Jul/08 7:30 PM
 |  |

A classical form of Japanese traditional dance, jiutamai is considered a very intimate form of dance emphasizing a woman's innermost emotions, expressed through slow minimalist movements. As such, many consider it the "women's noh" as it is an aesthetically spiritual and refined dance.

The west coast of Tassie must be one of the wildest place on earth. What amazing pics. The waves here at Sandy Point this morning were cutting into the dunes and then rolling back on themselves and throwing up foam. I love that wildness!

3.31 - Just for curiosity. And i did it 10 hours ago. not that i remembered.
I think it is much faster if you did it on paper rather than the site.
But that is a different type of scoring I believe.
No more scoring for me. It did ruin the fun.

Good evening to you all. We in Toronto have awakened to another glorious sunny day (no humidity) after a deliciously cool great-for-sleeping night. After lurking on and off, it's fun to be back onsite and catching up (or trying to) with what's going on in your lives. I finally got out a map of More...
