What is your nickname, now or when you were growing up?
How did you get that nickname? What does it mean? and Who gave it to you?

Meg FR: Kingaroy SE Qld Happy 18th Birthday to Megan your daughter ♪♪♪♪♪

lovely photo
well to start the 'nickname' convo off
I was actually called 'mikimoto' as a little girl cos I looked japanese. they use to tell me I was dropped off in the wrong country!
but now just get 'Rose' or 'Rosie' ... for obvious reasons but prefer my whole name or Rose.
have a great day/night one and all

2:35 good evening everyone. What a shame there wasn't a comment for the lovely scenic photo.

Good Maen, all! Only 12 days until the start of Nebraska football! Go Huskers!
 |  |
2:33 Getting caught up on yesterday's reading, and for what it's worth, I always save the purple and green smarties for the end--they're the prettiest. Brown ones get eaten first, then yellow and orange.

happy BD to Megs' daughter Megan for her 18th

Hey - those who send in photos - please let us know about them, the photo reward after the solution would be more enjoyable if we had some background on it.

Rose - it's Billy, had it since I was 1yr old, only closest family called me it and now most of Sudoku.com.au. Means cat/kitten in Hindi. However, close school friends call me 'twoo'...far too silly to say why...and we are not silly on here, are we?

g'Maen all! We are suffering from a little separation anxiety here. We took our older daughter up to the University of Florida on Saturday and the house is a bit too quiet. We still have her younger sister at home, but we miss their constant bickering and arguing. Who would have thought it...

mAen all

I never had a nickname, but two of my playmates did. One we called squeek because of his squeeky bicycle seat and the other glim, short for glimmer, because he never seemed to have a clue as to what was going on at the time. Wish I could say that I was responsible for comming up with those.

Rosemary: Love your idea for a discussion point each day.

Beautiful blue sky, must be the southern hemisphere. ~ My mom used to tack an ie on the end of my name. That's the closest I ever got to a nickname.
 |  |
I always teased by being called Watermelanie. For some reason, everyone else thought it was funny - but me!!!
 |  |
Where was that beautiful photo taken? I have never had a nickname--I tell people the other kid in my class was Sue, but when I was young my younger sister called be Boozin because she couldn't pronounce my name. Unfortunately, the nickname is approriate for her now.
 |  |
love that how younger siblings cant pronounce a name and what they come out with is as good as a nickname. obviously your sister enjoys a good time, susan.
 |  |
Other than Annie get your gun or just Annie, I never had a nickname either.
 |  |

ROSEMARY - Love your idea for a new topic of discussion every day! It could be a fun way to learn more about each other, and if it's personal information then maybe(?) no one will be told they are wrong! My full name is Kathryn but I have always been called Kathy.
 |  |
I was given the nickname of Ronneke, which got shorten to Ronkie, first few years at school I was called Ronnie. Why so many? hmmm...The name Rolanda (both English and dutch way of saying the name) seemed to big a name for a small person, and Ronneke is more of a dutch sounding name.
 |  |
you hear the name ronneke alot here rola
 |  |
Crystal: I dont know why they just called me that in the first place.........at least that is dutch where as Rolanda is ??
 |  |
No nickname here...and to Quilter Mom in Nebraska, I'm excited about the upcoming football season, too....Roll Tide!!
