Happy birthday Greg. Your birthday will last two days here, and for your injured hand another day.
I hope it is healing well.

I did the hard jigsaw, Greg. "challenging" is putting it lightly!

Thank you to who who have sent wishes. I'll respond personally to each of you once I'm a little more nimble on the keyboard. However, Dorthea, as soon as I get the new joke book from Fiona I'll post more jokes, and Debby, I don't think so other then the old squeeze the ball thing as the breaks were fairly clean. I'll know more next week.

That was shutting down my brain, too, Kathy. That and the lazy people who can't read the info before asking simple questions.

Heidi, I didn't buy anything at the Farm Show...unless you count what I have already purchased and is on display. The tree saw that goes on our skid loader is being displayed during the show. We get to take it home after the show. TM does seem to think that I should buy him a little trinket...like a tractor!

I just saw the video of the bully in NSW getting his just rewards. While I don't condone violence to settle disputes, it seems to me the the bully had it coming. I hope that the rest of the bullies in that school will leave the big guy alone after this.

And the mother of the bully is More...

2:06 I took my car to the mechanic to get a leak in the braking system fixed. The mechanic said that this and this and that need to be fixed in the braking system as well. Trouble is I know he is right. Sigh.

CynB - I like very much your new avatar in honor of the Japanese people suffering after effects of the earthquake(s).
Angie - glad to hear Grandma Eve is doing better already. Would that ALL of us could be as tough as she is!!

Earthquake Update
Yesterday (Tuesday) was a heavy day of aftershocks.
There was an increase in frequency and magnitude compared with the previous day. First there were some rather high magnitude ones (for aftershocks) close to the Boso-Peninsula and to Tokyo. More recently, and just as concerning, there have been two that were land-based and very close to Fukushima.

and eats them. He then jumps onto the pool table and grabs one of the More...

Maureen M,
If it's aftershocks you ask about, usually aftershocks from a big quake go on for some months.
Globally however, my esoteric view from my own hobby-horse hypothesis is that we are in for some more very big quakes over the next few years.
However, you should go to Hawaii where you could find out more about seismic activity.

Rayray, please correct me it I'm wrong, but isn't Hawaii somewhat immune from earthquakes. Non-violent volcanic eruptions, yes. But being on a plate that's moving over a hot spot, I would think that seismic occurances such as earthquakes would be rare.

I should have added tsanumis. But they normally occur after an earthquake somewhere else.
