2:16 Maen! Little Plum and I have been reading some stories about ballooning. I wonder if a mostly-solid black balloon absorbs a significant enough amount of solar radiation to make an energy difference compared to a lighter color balloon? (Sadly, they don't give such details in 3rd grade literature.) 23/Apr/09 12:07 AM |  |
 Happy Earth Day!Take care of it, everyone! 23/Apr/09 12:07 AM |  |
all - today would be a beautiful day for a balloon ride - over the pear blossoms. 23/Apr/09 12:15 AM |  |

We used to have balloon displays in San Angelo, Tx USA. My best memory is a couple of balloon teams setting up in a field right outside my bedroom window. Waking up to a strange, loud noise to find them filling the balloons practically in our back yard. It was great. 23/Apr/09 12:57 AM |  |

Ballooning is great fun. Everyone should give it a try. 23/Apr/09 1:05 AM |  |
I once found a tour advertised that sounded great. It was ballooning over the chateau country in the Loire Valley, coming down for a "gourmet picnic" that included champagne, then flying into the sunset, to arrive for dinner then a sound and light show at one of the chateaux. 23/Apr/09 1:12 AM |  |
