It was a bittersweet weekend for me.
Saw all 4 of my grandchildren!
Helped friends celebrate their '50th anniversary' - But not the usual 50th. - It was their 50th MONTH anniversary. (A second marriage for both and they were sad they wouldn't ever get to celebrate the big 50!)

The answer to yesterday’s puzzle is anything along the lines of he looked at his friend’s clock and knew how long the walk home took. Congratulations to shosho. A semi-functioning pocket watch is on its way. If you want the official answer Wolf informed me that you can google ''Philosopher set time''. Don’t make me revoke your internet privileges.

Yes, it is, Keith. No way around that. She lives in Wales, so it's doubly hard. I was so thankful that I was able to talk to her on the phone one last time the day before she died of leukemia.

Today we get to play with words.

Change a letter in each pair of words to make new words. Put the new letter in the middle parentheses. The letters read downward will form a new word.

Example:
ANT ( ) CAP ART (R) CAR
TOP ( ) CAT TOE (E) Eat
MAKE( ) PAT MADE (D) PAD

Just sent Serena a potential answer. I suppose I should try and get some school work done.
Jeanie and I are going to Arkansas for the weekend to see her two sisters. Fortunately, I am flying one way, but we will drive back on Sunday (about 8 hours).

everyone.

Shiela, I'm so sorry about the death of your friend, but glad that your sorrow may have been somewhat offset by spending time with your grandchildren. While we grieve over lives that are ending, it is good to be reminded of the new lives that are just beginning. The cycle of life....

Maybe you should completely rest the knee, Shosho. Maybe even ice it for the swelling.
