Good evening all! For those who missed yesterday's puzzle here it is again. Today's puzzle:- to a Certain person on the site. His birthday is actually 23rd but he lives in that stranGe place where they eat beavertails for breakfast and have two day birthdays. Answers to his page, please! 24/Mar/10 12:19 AM |  |
 Q: What do you call a woman who knows where her husband is 24 hours a day/seven days a week?A: A widow. 24/Mar/10 12:27 AM |  |
everyone, our snow has melted, high in the 50's today. Time to go to my appointment. 24/Mar/10 12:29 AM |  |
Did he catch anything? I wish I was there fishing, too. 24/Mar/10 12:30 AM |  |
Hmmmm.... I wonder who this could be... Maybe some candles on that beavertail would shed some light on it? 24/Mar/10 12:30 AM |  |

 Good Morning, everyone! 24/Mar/10 1:30 AM |  |
Here is the answer to yesterday's puzzle. There were several incorrect answers, but thanks for trying! Age 2, age 2 and age 9. The explanation: We know 3 things: Age 1 + Age 2 + Age 3 = 13 Age 1 * Age 2 * Age 3 = house number "The eldest son is the More... 24/Mar/10 1:42 AM |  |
good morning/night everyone. the weather seems to be cooperating here today. sun is shining and temp is rising. 24/Mar/10 1:49 AM |  |
QED, eh Kathy? Not if you don't have the faintest idea where to begin. Very clever, though. HB CG. 24/Mar/10 2:03 AM |  |
Thanks to all of you who have sent me emails or e-cards and left messages on the site and on my page. You have helped to brighten up my day. I will respond personally to each of you over the next few days. 24/Mar/10 2:08 AM |  |
It's always easy when you know the answer, Keith! 24/Mar/10 2:27 AM |  |
Keith - There were only 14 unique ways to add 3 numbers together to make 13. So it was possible to make a list of all the possible age combinations the three children could be. [I did the list in ascending order so I wasn't listing, for example, all the possible ways to write down the More... 24/Mar/10 2:59 AM |  |
 Aggggg! I knew I should have double checked my typing. The line that says 2, 9, 9 should read 2, 2, 9. Sorry. 24/Mar/10 3:03 AM |  |
Keith, I used fairly much the same rational to get the answer. The key was to find the common number for the address and then realize that the eldest son could not be one of the twins. 24/Mar/10 3:20 AM |  |
Good afternoon to all! The photo epitomizes the saying 'still waters run deep' and that's where you'll find the fish. 24/Mar/10 3:28 AM |  |
2:01 Hello to all. What an idyllic place to contemplate. Thought for the Day: A friend is one to whom one can pour out all the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keeping what is worth keeping, and, with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away. 24/Mar/10 3:46 AM |  |
Just for the sake of argument, (I haven't for a while.) Even with twins one is always older. i.e. the eldest. 24/Mar/10 4:24 AM |  |
Good morning. It will be hot again today but, like Vici, I will be off to the movies. Not sure what we will see. 24/Mar/10 4:42 AM |  |
 andré, love the TOD. 24/Mar/10 4:45 AM |  |
Kathy - I obviously missed the most important part, namely that there were twins. Did you mention that earlier than yesterday's post below: A census taker called on Mrs. MacPhee one day. He inquired if she had any children, and, if so, what their ages were. She answered that she would give More... 24/Mar/10 4:55 AM |  |
Does anyone else have woodpeckers (specifically a Flicker) that rat-a-tat-tat in their gutters looking for bugs? Sounds like a jack hammer VERY early every morning. When I chase him away, he goes to the nearest tree and watches for me to leave the window, then he comes right back and starts at it again. We have done battle for almost an hour on some mornings. 24/Mar/10 5:05 AM |  |
