Earthquake noteFurther to HalT’s note about ‘hot-spots’ yesterday: As Phantom later intimated, I do know what true ‘hot-spots’ are, but, on reading his/her remark, I suddenly realised that some journalists misuse that expression by applying it to describe places prone to earthquakes. That is More... 24/Mar/11 12:10 AM |  |

HalT,I didn't mean to 'correct' you.Essentially you were right about hot-spots having less earthquakes than you would expect - and I had not realised that. So, you raised an interesting point that was well worth looking into. 24/Mar/11 1:13 AM |  |

all from So. Oregon - forecast for more rain/snow today (it's getting to sound like a broken record) - at least it is occassional and the snow (if any) melts is minutes. High in the 40's. 24/Mar/11 1:21 AM |  |
You should see how big (long) that tongue is when the giraffe sticks it out to smack you. And it is hard. Watch out for those kisses. 24/Mar/11 1:24 AM |  |
Maen Karen. Your comment on mans running without tags on his old Mazda reminds us of the differences in our countries. In Australia the fine for that is \$1200, and the impounding of the contraption for 48 hours and then you have to pay \$350 impound release fee. You also loose 3 demerit points off your license. 24/Mar/11 1:25 AM |  |
Grass-Hopper, I admire you for being able to go and do go such a long distance for your grandson. Actually I admire all you grandparents that do what you can to spend time with your grandies, even getting up at 5:30 in the morning. 24/Mar/11 1:25 AM |  |
