QUESTION:

When is GATH's birthday, and on what day did this site first appear? And be forewarned that I do not have the answers to these questions. I'm just curious.

3:32 Hi to all.

Thought for the Day:

Being an older person is like death by drowning -a really delightful sensation after you have ceased struggling.
 |  |
Hey CG, not sure but it could be December 25th and I think archives will give you the answer to your second question.
 |  |
Greg - Archives state 15th May 2005 as being the first to be archived - Who knows?? Gath please tell and when is your good ladys' birthday?? Their wedding was celebrated on here and their travels throughout Europe!!
 |  |

Morgana, I was just reading the archives and saw your post for Suzanne's birthday. I am glad to see you are still around and visiting every now and then.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and my email address is still the same, please let me know how you are doingm we miss you!

another ufo sighting wonder if they'll believe him or her as the case maybe.
 |  |
Just bounced back in for another visit and was so glad--Anne, that joke is hilarious!
 |  |
André: I agree that is when the archives started, but the comments on that page implies the site started before that day. How long has this been around? Anyone??
 |  |
Happy Belated Birthday, Glenn. I hope it was a good one!

RE: Comment about pet elephant & litter box.
Not far off actually!! In Tanzania farmers live in harmony with the elephants that roam on nearby open ranges. The farmers will choose a future plot for crops, usually about 40 meters or so square. They then dig down in the center no more than 1/2 a More...

Greg... Can't you see that there are two dogs and that they have that smug look on their faces because they have treed a cat?

Sorry Jaffy but that sounds discusting!!! I know manure makes the ground more fertile but I don't want to think about it. Yuck!!! No elephant litter boxes for me.

to all. Lots of neww folks to remember on their special days...Our family is really growing, how wonderful.

I can't believe there are so many people up already! If you are on the North American continent, does that mean you are doing yesterday's puzzle for us? Are you all night owls? I haven't got my head around the time difference yet. What time of day do you do your sudoku? This is how I start my day, and I've worked out that Anne from Albany finishes her day this way. How about you?

Hello Mariane from Barooga. I had no idea where Barooga is, so I Google-Earthed it. North-East of Melbourne. Seems like quite a small place - what's that forest just to the south of you? Isn't technology wonderful? Just a click of the mouse and you can have a bird's eye look at a place.

Good afternoon to all? Just love sudoku. Play everyday and enjoy reading from others about everything. I'll keep playing. Love this site.
 |  |
Warm pacific greetings to you all. Marilyn you've found Barooga, try finding Tokelau!
 |  |
Norfolk Island is also referred to as 'The Rock' and I do remember somebody posting from there a while ago!
Norfolk Island is a tiny island situated between East Coast Australia (between Brisbane and Sydney) and West Coast New Zealand.
 |  |
To Pasifika - Google Earth found Tokelau quickly enough. North Island NZ somewhere betweeen Lower Hutt & Upper Hutt. Such wonderful names! I'll have to visit there sometime. I've been over to Australia a few times, but never to New Zealand. My feet are getting itchy!
 |  |
Marianne, I'm also an early sudokuist and I've often wondered what time Anne must solve her puzzles.
 |  |
Did you not all see the reflection of the cat up the tree in the dogs eye? Look closely!
 |  |
Hi Marilyn. It is only about 1200 people and is a wonderful secret. We live right behind the golf course. You wouldn't believe the names of the local forests - try Boomanoomana and Cottadidda. Aboriginal names and I am not sure what they mean (to my shame). They hug the Murray river, which More...

Good morning Mariane From barooga, australia. I've been up for about 10 hours now....of course, it is 4:30 in the afternoon here.....I like to do the puzzle in mid morning, and there are sometimes 6 pages of comments to read through by then. If I wait until about 10:05 am, I get to comment the More...

Judi, It always makes me realise how lucky I am to be able to greet the sun and not work shift work. I bet she uses the sudoku to wind down and turn off after work. You're amazing, Anne.
 |  |
Karen, Isn't it amazing how we have a little window into lots of people's lives and get to share some of their thoughts and personalities. I bet it would surprise some of the regulars as to how many people check up on their thoughts for the day, even if they don't post a comment. I feel as though I know Canuk Greg and ap and Anne and lots of others ...
 |  |
Hi Mariane. I was going to ask if you're in NSW or Victoria. Like I said before, I'm getting itchy feet - so many places....so little time (and not enough money for all the travelling!)
Oh well, its nearly 11pm here so I'm off to beddy byes. The puppies are snoring already, and I should be too. I'll read the rest of the comments in the morning. Night all!
 |  |
Marilyn I know you're counting sheep but Tokelau is actually an island which is half way between Hawaii and Auckland, NZ. If your itchy feet ever takes you there let me know. An island paradise you wouldn't want to miss.

Happy days everybody!

I didn't realise we were keeping track of anniversaries too! It sure is a big job with our sudoku family growing daily it seems. Our anniversary is 10 April and we celebrated our 30th this year.

What an interesting comment by Mariane/Barooga,Australia.I've often wondered what those who came to the site, but didn't post were thinking. Recently, more of you have ventured onto the comment section with some great topics or observations. Its really good to hear from you, and I for one hope you More...

Hi to mariane from Barooga - I have been there! Many years ago I enjoyed a weekend conference there at the club (Little Athletics I think).
I don't often post but generally read comments and do the puzzle when I first get to work every day.
