FLAMINGO MAKES YOU 'GO'
Through my indulgence and high living,
I over-ate at this Thanksgiving.
I consumed one ostrich on my own –
(apart from a leg for Aileen’s home).
That caused my tum to so distend -
I needs stand straight: I cannot bend.
I’ll soon have stretch More...

Cold, rainy, and thundery this morning. I had to get up because my pup wouldn't leave me alone - she felt it was time to get up.

a nice picture to have. well, just enjoying some tea and having the house to my self before - the boys get up. We went out to eat last night - you should have seen the size of the baked potatoe we got - it was bigger then my 2 hands together - at least a 3 serving size. Well, off to exchange items at the store already. enjoy your day.

hello all, hope the weekend is going the way you want it - it certainly is here. Remember the case of the disappearing DOG, my daughter's lost toy? Well it has turned up safe and well, albeit a hundred miles away (don't ask!)One happy little girl, and one relieved André who won't have to go to McDonald's!

Loverly poem, Rayray. What a way to start a new day!!!

Now, here are a couple more puns (sorry, can't help myself):

I used in live in VirGINia, but now I dwell in St. Salmons, JAWgia (or is it GeORGYa?)

Jane: Yesterday Jaffy was so quick. I got bamboozled trying to keep up with him. Mind you it was 3am our time.

Good Morning Worldly People

Like Jamie it is very cold, rainy with sleet and the winds are howling.

The howling could also be the girl demanding I go into that room and prepare her breakfast. A bowl of Cheerios on the way.

Jane: Funny-punning is very addictive isn't it?

Rayray - I love puns! Unfortunately, they are annoying to so many people. One of the funniest (slightly risqué) puns I ever heard was from the quick-wit of my first husband. We were living in an apartment in a building that had been a hotel, and the front door to our unit had a transom More...

Lynda from Perth - yes, I actually had a turducken prepared by my son-in-law. It was quite delicious. Bet our champion punsters, Rayray, Jaffy & Jane, could come up with some other interesting meat combinations - ostringo or such?? You three are all so clever - I was quite impressed with all the clever countries & cities you came up with yesterday!!

Rayray, the Japanese are the worst offenders in the pun realm. In fact there is a card game that dates back hundreds of years ago (in old literature) which are parts of a poem and the players must come up with their own conoction, puns abound. example: a poem might be about a tree, the players More...

Kathy - how about "lambi" (lamb/fawn combo); "hamstir" (stir-fried pork and rodent); "goatea" (tea-infused bearded billy goat); "buffalobo" (bison-wolf)?

Shosho:

I knew that Japanese like punning but that is newly very interesting about their ancient game.

all. Will looks like one happy baby.

My U-tube hope you enjoy: 'HE AIN'T HEAVY, HE'S MY BROTHER' by NEIL DIAMOND. It is still Thanksgiving weekend (remember the Pilgrims & Natives celebrated for 3 days) - so this song fits into the Holiday Spirit.

Fiona - how long was DOG missing? So happy for your daughter & André(!) that he was found. May I ask if Webkinz are popular in Europe yet? My two granddaughters & a couple of the grandsons are crazy about them!
