If all jokes are posted under the 'Joke' heading everyone has the choice of reading or not reading. All it takes is to unselect the box at the top of the page. I do not like all jokes but respect the rights of both sides of the coin. a, To read what you wish to and b. To block what you don't wish to read.
Keep posting Peter if I feel they are OTT I just stop reading and move to next post.

On reflection maybe if people are worried about joke content Gath could insert an optional parental control button on the joke section so that each person could have the choice to see or not to see jokes.

So should we have a new category for 'Dirty Jokes'?

I always post jokes under 'Jokes'.

I was under the impression that one could choose to view them or not.

I do not intend to offend anyone and if From is not offended then why comment.

I think this subject has raised its head about once a year since this site began.
It is impossible to please everyone. If you stop jokes a lot of people will be very disappointed. We all have the freedom to read or not to read. I don't particularly like comments of a religious nature but would never dream of asking people not to post. I just skim over the post and pass to the next.

It is very difficult to arrive at a conclusion as such. The people who visit this site are grownup I presume, and they need no such external vigilence. All that you require is just a bit of self refrainment and color consciousness!

Oh, great, more thought police. There is a mechanism already in place for jokes as has been pointed out. Why don't we impliment more restrictions, buttons to push and a couple of more nannies to watch over us while we behave like children? This type of behavior is exactly why so many fascinating personalities have disapeared from the site, much to our great loss.
