1:16 - a really easy one this morning.

I've been awake since about 2:30 yesterday morning, so I think I might get myself off to bed. Good night all.

Thought Jill would grace us with her pressence today, since her darlings started school. But no, she whizzed through her morning routine and ran out the door for shopping.
She is another one that wears me out just by reading what she is doing.

Karen I'm getting older and older all the time. My great grandkids ask me to tell them about their history lessons in school, and I remember what happened.

I'm sure I'm the only one that remembers her grandmother telling her about being shot in the Civil War.

Good Maen, good people. My girls weren't tired and decided to be productive last night. 11:30 doesn't phase them the way it does me (and I am naturally a night owl). So, I stayed up late, woke up late, started then finished chores late, got to Sudokuland late. I wonder if I could just "fall back" the clocks early and not tell anyone?

That is great that you can make their lesson become more real, instead of them just being words in a book.
I stumble through this summer attempting to explain what a covered wagon was to Thing I.

Oh, Plum, dear this morning has me scared. Not only did we wake up on time, after doing some laundry, and straightening up, there was time to dress three people, one person let me change her diaper, before she did her morning duty, so she got changed twice, then dressed the other and double checked More...

Today, my inquiring mind would like to know, what's for dinner? I am so tired of eating, but want to eat, now does that make sense.

all from a hot So. Oregon 104° again today.

Yesterday afternoon a close friend lost her home to a fire along with 10 neighbors. In a matter of minutes a fire from a ditch next to I-5 spread a 1/2 mile to the homes above a golf course in an hour 12 structures were More...

If you are asking what's for lunch, I have a craving for cheese slices and carrot sticks of course dipped into my favorite sour cream dip.

It makes sense to me. I eat because I have diabetes. But I rather not, unless we go out Outback is my favorite, but Appelebes will do.

Girlfriends _____
A group of 15 year old girlfriends discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally, it was agreed upon that they should meet at the

HI all! Yesterday's puzzle kept you busy a while and most of the answers came through pretty late on. Not as easy as it seemed either as I had a few blanks in most lists, but well done anyway to everyone including Phantom, CynB, Plum, Shannon, Sue and June. I was looking for the following capitals More...

That was great Jerry, but did not answer my question.
Man, did a really odd ball thing for Mother's Day, he gave me a Julia Child's food preparation book. I enjoy reading it. I have her voice in my head, but to actually prepare one of those recipes you need a whole other college degree to understand. Silly man, what was he thinking when he purchased such a book.

yummm, corn on the cob. I used to be like you Karen. When we built our first house and they asked about the kitchen, I was like -"just put in a drive-thru window and a fridge for my soda and champagne (I have a thing for bubbles). People kept giving me cookbooks, like that was just going to magically change my whole attitude.

Well, Karen, yesterday was a large lettuce salad w/ ranch dressing & Ramen noodle soup w/ a can of tuna stirred in. Tonight, maybe a hamburger cooked on the Weber.

Did anyone get all the answers? Beirut??? I think of bay as an inlet , not a 'body of water', grumble, grumble. Canuck Greg hasn't been around lately or he probably would have put us all to shame.

A point to ponder........

If a husband gives a wife (or the other way around) a cookbook, does that mean that he / she thinks the other doesn't know how to cook?

OR

Does it mean that they are bored with the More...

Jerry, we missed you. Thought maybe you had fallen in that well you said you were building. Karen, I'm disappointed none of our Aussie friends took up your undie-story challenge yesterday. I've always heard they're an unruly, fun-loving bunch down there, thought for sure there'd be a tale or two.

Shannon, the news report I read on the fire said that contributors, to the rapid spread, in addition to the recent high temperatures & the wind, included dry lawns (high cost of city water), and the probability of cedar shake roofs.

If my husband is bored with the 'same old thing', a cookbook isn't probably the reading material he'd offer . Gotta keep him away from Dorothea!
