Eve - just finished looking at the pictures you have so far. Really neat - I hope you have a bunch more as the float is worked on all week - it will be very interesting to watch the progress. Thanks.
I meant to turn the page but your pictures sidetracked me!

Jamie...Molly is adorable! What soulful eyes....are you sure the kids will be able to reclaim her when they get married?

Well I'm off to the shopping centre - not because I want to check out the sales only to check the mail at the PO Box and do the banking. I'll still have to fight for a parking space with the rest of the shoppers. This is my only Bah Humbug of the season!

Hey, you've got to see Eve's page. The education I got about the Rose Parade float construction is awesome!

Wow, I'm amazed - I just realized that there are families on this site. Jamie mentioned his child Broni - is this the same Broni as in Broni from Qld Australia? And CynB mentions something about Col - I couldn't quite figure out the relationship but it seems to be there. Learn something new here More...

Mamacita & shosho - I can't tell you how badly I wanted Molly's sister that was still available!! Jeanie is adamant at this time about not having a second dog. Wil and Alice certainly aren't going go give Molly up, so I will have to hold out for a change of heart later on. I may just have to babysit the dog until the grandkids come along. She really is a cute one, though.

Jane - I have a several-yr-old Canon point-n-shoot camera that I love. Prices have come way down as features have gone up. I'll write you some info on your page tomorrow when i'm awake!

Oh Jamie...It does get hard doesn't it? At least you will get to have a relationship with Molly...she's a beauty.
Having seen what Eve is doing is quite remarkable....having grown up with the Mummers in our area....I've been exposed to the work and dedication of these folks....remarkable, More...

Mamacita: I'm up here now, and NOT working on this years float - had my Mom and family up for a White Christms. It was a dusting - that happened around 8 PM last night (thank-fully after my cousin's wife & son arrived home 125 mi away over several mountain passes).

It is still a More...

What's the difference between a porcupine and 4 lawyers in a Cadillac Escalade?
The porcupine has the pricks on the outside.

Ok folks, a member posted on my page the reasoning behind my tall, dark guy coming into my house uninvited on New Years day. If you are interested take a look.

I thought it was for good fortune, but he states it is for warmth and food.

Patmac thank you for your information. I really thought it was for good fortune. Which in my case I believe I got a beautiful daughter the first year I tried it. Which was a great fortune.

Another ritual I have all bills are paid on the 30th.
That way I am not paying bills on the 1st, hence making me pay all year long.
27/Dec/07 5:34 PM
 |  |

I am up to three might as well continue.

On the 31st and 1st there is no house cleaning or preparing of food. That way I will not be doing either all year long.
Of course I do not do the preparing of food anyway, but I do not want to risk it.

No items enter the house or exit the house during this time either. That way I do not accumlate more stuff through out the year.
I cannot remember why things cannot leave though.

Good early Morning everyone. Hope you all had the Christmas you had planned, be it boisterous or quiet, and enjoyed every minute of it. Look forward now to the new year and all it's possibilities.

Linda M,
Sorry to confuse you over relationships. The Col I mentioned in an earlier post was my husband Colin. I do not personally know anyone on this site yet. I hope to remedy this by organising a get-together of any Brisbane members in 2008 if I can stir up any interest.
Any Brisbane people out there? Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Darling Downs - let me know if you're interested.
27/Dec/07 8:47 PM
 |  |

Or anyone heading to Queensland for a holiday. It would be great to co-ordinate a get-together here at that time.

Our Christmas parcels are slowly arriving. One yesterday ( undelivered as we were not home) and one today. Our Christmas is still going. In fact I think I will limit opening of presents to one a day next year. You get more time to enjoy and get to know each one. I got a new camera, so I will be out More...

Caz - sorry my greetings are late ...but I hope you had a great birthday. I wish we'd known it was so close to Christmas - we could have had an excuse to all eat chocolate mud cake the day we went out to lunch !!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh hang on - most of us didn't need an excuse for desert did we.

Linda M - no I'm not related to CynB - ANgie's not related to Gath and I'm pretty sure none of Jamie's children live in Queensland.........but.........you're right - there ARE families on here.
