Read earlier posts. Karen, not to worry, I was up late, too late to work out but not too late for work. My boss even says that I'm such a "good" worker that I save my illness for my holidays so I don't miss a work day. Yuck!!! My spring break was ruined by the flu!!! I finally got well enough to show up at work the first day after the break.

Some time ago, Mamacita asked why people came to this site (I think it was on the Discussion/Forum page). Wagdy repeated the question recently in the Forum. There are a lot of good answers to that.

Given the current thread, I'd like to suggest that for many people, it was because the More...

Jill called!
I am so happy. I have been waiting all day and she finally called.
The test went great with no complications and the baby is still all snuggled safely inside her.
If you have not made your guess yet though and would like to, I suggest, for Jill you do it quickly.

Oh my goodness!!! Thank you to all who left me birthday wishes on 'my page'. It was such a surprise as I haven't been on to the site for so long. I had the most wonderful day, a bit overwhelming really with messages, phone calls, e-mails, cards and gifts. Had the cutest phone call from Kiarah who More...

A reply for Mamacita from previous page -
Lovely to have you back, by the way.
You asked why people post these hurtful and sarcastic comments, what do they get out of it?
I don't think there will be many replies from the main culprits as they do not see their comments that way. They think they are being funny and see the recipients as weak wimps for taking them to heart.

Gail, Dino has gone to one of their centres in Sydney, then some other friends, then Wollongong before she goes home. It was a pleasure to have her stay with us.
So pleased about the news of Jill. Karen please add my name to the list of people who are concerned for her.

Glinda, I think what makes this site interesting (for me) is the eclectic mix of people who have joined the site. Not everyone is going to agree with all the comments posted, different attitudes, different cultures and life style all play a part. Most people rub along just fine and take what they More...

I have been thinking about the posts that have tried to evaluate 'recent changes' in the site.Such introspection, when it is constructive, is a very good thing. That is because, through its expression of concern, it demonstrates our love for Sudokuland and what this place in cyberspace stands for. More...

Most of us are over the hump, and perhaps a little more than mature. We are not schoolkids and we know our minds. We surely come here for relaxed, spirited and creative enjoyment, but again - yes - we need to consider positive ways to make the site better and more appealing to a wide audience of More...

Gmo:
The back is in fits and starts (mostly fits with their starts).
I was worried of a heart attack, as the trapped nerve (for that is what it is held to be), is causing numbness in the right arm and fingers.
I missed people out from the list - maybe I should have waited until my list More...

Funny bit of duplication that. I wonder how I did it, or did it do itself?

I am enjoying the French Open. Andy Murray seems to have got out of the hole he seemed to have dug for himself. Hopefully one or two Australians might get to the third round. How the mighty have fallen.

I am sitting here wearing a cervical collar, Rayray as it has been suggested that the arthitis in my neck is a possible cause of the horrendous vertigo I get whenever I turn my neck or actually move any direction outside my normal plane. Still, they now have, to quote Tony Hancock, an armful of my blood, to play around with and hopefully come up with a good reason why this should suddenly happen.

The Tennis starts at 7pm (Aussie Eastern Time) so I usually watch the first match live. Prior to this we get edited highlights from 4pm to 7pm from the previous day, so i usually get to see the best bits. As it is an Australian production we get to see the Australians until they are eliminated usually very early.

I really am a sports tragic. About the only two sports I don't like are basketball and gridiron and thats not so much the sport but all the time outs which make both sports seem to drag on forever.

I am the opposite. I will have an early night tonight as there is some football match on. It will go on for hours...what with the pre match prognostications by people who, of course, know how the match should be played and who should win. Then the match. Then the after match I would have played it More...

We are all free to have our own likes and dislikes and I would love to follow a sport when what you get is to watch the match not talk for hours on either side about what, why, how. Even golf is heading rapidly that way on TV.

Oh my word, GMo.
A cervical collar !
I didn't know you had that problem.
You know what this pain is like then.
I also have recently experienced some difficulty in turning round in a car to see what's behind.

But, to humourise the unhumourisable, I'd prefer a cervical collar to a More...
