Yes Heidi. I would love a drink but will wait a while longer maybe a cool not cold Gin and Tonic would do the trick or a Campari and soda. I have removed the compress so no longer look like a hampster.
I think the local is beginning to wear off as there are stirrings of great discomfort inching their way across my face.

Afternoon All,
Hopefully today will not be as drama-filled as yesterday. R.I.P to all who have made their final transition recently without such fanfare. and may we find rest from the media's continual regurgitation of the same story line...life does go on. Fiona made the same observation in a More...

Karen,
Good to see you helping your pouter recover too. BTW...I sorta guessed the birth date Although I didn't number it, I said Morgan would be born when she was ready....and that was the 23rd.....doesn't that count????

Isn't it amazing, whenever we need comfort we turn to the couch. Couches are so important in our lives.
Thanks to all our comfy couches.

Good afternoon to all! That is a good close-up photo of the spider, and it looks a little bigger then "the itsy-bitsy spider that crawled up the drain."

Re: MJ's passing. I agree the media is over-playing this, but there is a generational aspect to this that people forget. My 29 year-old daughter, an actor who does mostly musical theatre work, called me to talk last night as she was upset by his passing. His music and dancing style did have a More...

Sally was seen going into the woods with a small package and a large bird cage. She was gone several days before she returned. Her friend, Liz, had never seen Sally looking so sad.
Liz said, "Heard you went off in the woods for a couple of days. Glad you got back okay, but More...

Mo, I'm sure you could manage a few swallows of gin and tonic, but don't gargle with it. Hope you feel a little better after a good night's sleep.

Mama, could we share March? I feel the need to spark up the next birthday!
Mo, perhaps Judy's tennis couch is the answer...
Jim, I think I was behind that uplifted Grandma yesterday. The guy in front of me was wishing her Hawaiian good luck. Turns out her car had stalled.

I saw this photo and thought it was one I took- but its not. I took one almost exactly the same though and wonder about this shot. It is midnight and I want a warm drink but don't want to risk encouraging any bleeding. The local anesthetic has worn off. Not too bad. So luke warm milk and a paracetemol and the latest Lee Child book. See you all tomorrow.
BTW I wonder if Fiona is working on her hangover?

Hurricane Frances, in September of 2004, split my orange tree in three parts. The tree that in 2003 gave 1000 fruit began to die. One third died at the time. Another third lived a few more years. I got just 6 fruits last season. The final bit of the last third died a few weeks ago, its remaining More...

Hi Gail!! - Thank you! He has been at work today, but we have had such a beautiful day here today. The humidity and temperature has gone down and the sun has shined all day. The weather has been perfect! I am thankful for that since our power has been out. We weren't able to run fans, but we haven't needed them.

Jim - I am sorry to hear about your orange tree. How nice it must have been to have one in your yard. Hurrican Charlie knocked over my dad's mango trees. He just stood them back up and hoped for the best! It worked, but it was iffy! That must be like us growing tomatoes in the summer. It is so nice to have them in your own yard!
