G'day mates. Here's today's daffynition:bachelor — A guy who never finds out how many faults he has. ...and here's today's factoid:In ancient Sparta, men who remained unmarried by the time they were 30 forfeited the right to vote. 28/Mar/13 12:00 AM |  |
 all. 28/Mar/13 12:01 AM |  |
Hello, friends!Yes!!! needed today! A tiny warm-up today... Maybe Spring is deciding to visit us,after all? 28/Mar/13 12:01 AM |  |
I posted this right at the end of 'yesterday'. Keep us/me posted, Karen. Like Hal, I only have a few hours on the 18th to help!!Good visit last night with Kathi (Katitude) and Robert in Madisonville (not many of you would have any idea where that is!?) for dinner. They have a fabulous trip planned through the United States. 28/Mar/13 12:12 AM |  |
Your beautiful Mt. Buller looks like our Rockies. 28/Mar/13 12:25 AM |  |
You are correct, jamie! I've never even been in Texas! 28/Mar/13 12:27 AM |  |
Madisonville is a small, country town about halfway between Dallas and Houston. They were only 40 miles from me, so I drove over and ate dinner with them. 28/Mar/13 12:32 AM |  |
 Good Maen all 28/Mar/13 12:32 AM |  |
Jamie - glad you could meet with our friends...they are better traveled through the US than I am! 28/Mar/13 12:37 AM |  |
My search engine gets a lot of use because of this site. I now know where Mt. Buller is. 28/Mar/13 12:38 AM |  |
 Lovely photo.Kayo - I'm just lovin' these theme daffynitions and factoids 28/Mar/13 12:51 AM |  |
Yea, nice shot. Maybe picture submitters now should resort to captioning their pictures this way, since the site no longer seems to accept captions. I don't know, since I haven't submitted a picture in a long time. 28/Mar/13 1:12 AM |  |
everyone! What a lovely photo! That might be the solution, Keith. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do that. 28/Mar/13 1:25 AM |  |
Good morning people of the world. 28/Mar/13 1:35 AM |  |
The answers to yesterday's poozle:1. decadence (or, denote, decoda, decompose, debar) 2. degrade (or, demark) 3. deliver 4. decoy (or deserve) 5. deal, deed (or, demark, decal, decade, and someone got REALLY creative with desire, degeneration, demean, and denude. A mean Uncle or a nude Uncle. More... 28/Mar/13 1:36 AM |  |

Yup ... must be back home where I can do my smilies again. 28/Mar/13 1:42 AM |  |
I was hoping the voices in my head would have organized my thoughts, throughout the night, but after all their chattering last night, my thoughts are not organized. So, I am going back to a method that works. My list is growing by leaps and bounds. Need to break the one big list, down to a few list and life will be better when I get these done. 28/Mar/13 1:44 AM |  |
I am a inveterate list maker, Karen. It's the ONLY way I can organize what needs to be done. Of course, then you have to actually READ the list..... 28/Mar/13 1:48 AM |  |
Today, is probably not the day to attempt my lists, since I am going to have to spend a good part of the day in that room, preparing cookies for 40 little darlings, plus teachers and parents.I do not understand me sometimes, the note home said packaged cookies. I said, I am not going to feed my More... 28/Mar/13 1:48 AM |  |
And for today..... I constantly collide into all the others,The only one of 16 without colors.Associated with English and banking and breaking,The answer is right there for the taking. What am I? Answers to the ''belly flop!'' inbox, please. 28/Mar/13 1:50 AM |  |
I am like that, too, Kathy.Get myself together with my list. Then never have the right list at the time needed, but at least it gets my thoughts together and organized. 28/Mar/13 1:51 AM |  |
I've always figured if it was important enough, it would be remembered ... and done, so no lists for me. Lynne is not into lists so much, but she IS into Post-It Notes, and there seem to be appropriate locations all over the house for these notes. We have a small, magnetic white board on the refrigerator. That's where the REALLY important reminders go. We both know to look there often. 28/Mar/13 3:19 AM |  |
Good afternoon to all! So how many of you Aussies have dared the slopes and gone skiing on Mt. Buller? 28/Mar/13 3:28 AM |  |
Keith, like you, all my important reminders, tasks, etc. get posted on the fridge where I'll see them. The besy bulletin board in the world for me! 28/Mar/13 3:30 AM |  |
A senior citizen in Louisiana was overheard saying ... 'When the end of the world comes, I hope to be in Louisiana.' When asked why, he replied, 'I'd rather be in Louisiana 'cause everythang happens in Louisiana 20 years later than in the rest of the world.' 28/Mar/13 3:32 AM |  |
A Tennessee State trooper pulled over a pickup on I-65. The trooper asked, 'Got any ID?'The driver replied, 'Bout whut?' 28/Mar/13 3:33 AM |  |
Can't leave out Texas....The Sheriff pulled up next to the guy unloading garbage out of his pick-up into the ditch. The Sheriff asked, 'Why are you dumping garbage in the ditch? Don't you see that sign right over your head.''Yep,' he replied. 'That's why I'm dumpin' it here, 'cause it says: 'Fine For Dumping Garbage.'' 28/Mar/13 3:35 AM |  |
I write things on my calendar in the kitchen. If it's not there, it probably isn't going to happen. I also tell people to call and leave me a message on my answering machine. 28/Mar/13 3:35 AM |  |
If I leave things in my head, there is a very good chance, whatever won't happen, but if I write down, whether I see my note or not, there is a better chance of me remembering. 28/Mar/13 4:04 AM |  |
Therefore, I make many types of lists. Post-It notes are one of those wonderful inventions, I cannot live without. My calendar is full, so I have a date book. Fridge is covered in beautiful art work.I could use my phone as a note reminder, but that would require me to remember I have that More... 28/Mar/13 4:07 AM |  |
Is there a good reason, why I cannot be like the other mom's, in my girl's class, and purchase stale, packaged cookies, instead of being in that room, making wonderful aromas, and spending a fun time with my youngest girl? 28/Mar/13 4:09 AM |  |
It is now coming up to naptime, and only two types out 4 cookies are done. Why couldn't I just give my darlings one type, instead of a variety? 28/Mar/13 4:11 AM |  |
