HalT, I am short of limericks, they never really caught me up. Not entirely germane but here is the one that got saved, I've always been a fan of anything to do with the brewer's art:

On the chest of a barmaid from Sale
Was tattoed all the prices for ale
Whilst on her behind for the sake of the blind
was precisely the same but in braille.

Seein' as we are into cheese and limericks today.......

A young man who pulled mozzarella
was really a muscular fella.
With his strong hand and wrist
no girls could resist
his backrubs, and things they won't tell ya.

DorA, from a registered (50 years) republican, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year right back at ya.
From an older and wiser (a little more liberal) curmudgeon, you've pushed all my buttons and for immediate therapy I'm paying a visit to my well stocked collection of fine Highland whisky for solace. sláinte mhaith!

Well, I didn't think it possible but DOA has driven JEB to drink, who'd a thunk it!

JEB, I'll take my therapy in Irish whiskey. Sláinte agad-sa!

Recently, I was diagnosed with AAADD — Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.

This is how it manifests itself:

I decide to water my garden.

As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide my car needs washing.

As I start More...

and you've obviously forgotten what your were writing after wiping up the spill and don't tell us the happy ending!!!

The happy ending? Trump forgot he was supposed to be a Republican, dismissed his cabinet, and happily trundled off into oblivion, and everybody else was allowed to go on with our lives as if the whole nightmare never happened.

Careful, what you admit to, JEB. You'll find yourself ostracized.

Your mention of ''fine Highland whisky'', reminds me of a dinner, once in Paris. The waiter asked if I would like a before dinner drink. Naturally I said yes and asked for 'scotch on the rocks'. He brought a large water More...

Peter, have you tried Jameson Caskmates?
'Bout the only thing I'll admit to is being somewhat flexible. I'm extremely democratic about whisky (and craft brewing) currently having samples of scotch, irish, rye and bourbon.

The 'Happy Ending' I mentioned was referring to Peter's AAADD story.

Jeb, when I drink whiskey I usually drink Bushmills. We visited the distillery a couple of years back and bought a bottle of 10 year old which is only available from the distillery. Wife bought me a bottle of 20 yr old for Christmas but I prefer the 10 yr old.
When I drink Scotch it is More...

Did you know that the main difference between American (Bourbon), Scotch and Irish whiskey, apart from spelling, is the American whiskey is distilled once, Scotch is distilled twice and Irish is distilled three times. The more often it is distilled the higher the alcohol content but of course it is cut to comply with various laws when sold to the public and the older it is the darker it gets.
