 G'day mates.Here's today's daffynition:trickle — to delight with magicAnd here's today's factoid:cold showers are healthier for you than hot showers. 30/Aug/14 12:04 AM |  |
Good morning people of the world. 30/Aug/14 12:04 AM |  |
 I have NEVER been first! Wow! 30/Aug/14 12:04 AM |  |
 The three K's. Kathy, Karen, and kayo. 30/Aug/14 12:06 AM |  |
I am a cold shower person. Not freezing cold, but just cold enough. Except for one problem, that I know of, I am healthy. Though I take cold showers, because I do not like dry skin, there are times, dry skin hurts and I am not into pain. 30/Aug/14 12:07 AM |  |
Oh, Kathy, I was thinking the same thing, about the K's. 30/Aug/14 12:08 AM |  |
 I'll forgo the healthy shower, thank you. 30/Aug/14 12:08 AM |  |
Cool showers....maybe in the heat of the summer, but in the cold of the winter I want hot! 30/Aug/14 12:11 AM |  |
Speaking of hot water, I am off to wash bedding.I shall return! 30/Aug/14 12:12 AM |  |
What a difference three days makes. Monday I had a child, who did not want to go to school. She wanted to ride the bus, but not go to school. Since then, she is the first child up and ready to go, except this morning, she was a little sluggish. She comes home, full of chatter, which of course, More... 30/Aug/14 12:14 AM |  |
Hello K's & everyone! Do I have to be Kshiela? It was sunny when I got up... Now it's overcast! 30/Aug/14 12:15 AM |  |
I on the other hand, since having a wonderful teacher, who has put me at ease, with daily check-ins, have been running out of time, this week.I am in shock, that after two years of packing, throwing away, sorting...and whatever else, and 15 months, of continuous throwing out, I have spent the More... 30/Aug/14 12:19 AM |  |
 all. 30/Aug/14 12:20 AM |  |
Kshiela, we were just the opposite. We actually had a cool breeze come through this morning, which had one girl running for a jacket and me wishing I could open the house up, followed by a nice sprinkling of strange stuff falling from the sky, now, we have beautiful sunshine and humidity. 30/Aug/14 12:21 AM |  |
Must have traveled my way, Karen! 30/Aug/14 12:24 AM |  |
Hope it blows past! I will be helping hubby sell tickets to the Fair this evening at one of the little entry booths and I don't much relish doing that in the rain! (It's a fundraiser for his Rotary club.) 30/Aug/14 12:27 AM |  |
Hi, Hal. Am I forgiven for divulging your inner-most thoughts yesterday? It's your own fault. If your answers to the poozles weren't so funny, you'd be safe. 30/Aug/14 12:27 AM |  |
 Just woke up. 30/Aug/14 12:30 AM |  |
 Lets see. 30/Aug/14 12:30 AM |  |
 30/Aug/14 12:30 AM |  |
Oh, there is a tiny worry, in the school news. Yesterday, there was a memo, stating over population in Kinder. At this time, they are asking for volunteers to move to another school. I will not be a volunteer on this one. But if there is not enough volunteers, they will look at locations, when we More... 30/Aug/14 12:31 AM |  |
 Aw man, I was so close. 30/Aug/14 12:32 AM |  |
 I felt like I had to hurry, but wasn't sure why ... Now I know. 30/Aug/14 12:37 AM |  |
Then, do you remember, a small topic a few weeks ago, where I mentioned my opinion about computers and vehicles. More to the point, a computer, in another state, actually a few states up, that had control over the big truck, my hubby drives?Well, talk about computer glitches. Man received a More... 30/Aug/14 12:38 AM |  |
Aw, darling, did I rush you? (snicker, snicker) 30/Aug/14 12:39 AM |  |
everybody. Doea this mean my name is now Kheidi? Not sure if I like it. I DO like the cute Chow in today's picture. 30/Aug/14 12:39 AM |  |
, y'all! By popular demand (of two folks here, anyway) I've posted photos in my gallery of the fridge being held together with boards and duct tape. We weren't kidding! 30/Aug/14 12:39 AM |  |
Now my cup is empty and the machines have stopped. Must keep progress going. 30/Aug/14 12:40 AM |  |
Karen, I'd wager your school district keeps families attending together at one school when kiddos are in the same school. Most do, with reason and understanding that it'd be a burden for parents to drive all over the place. At least they're asking for 'volunteers' rather than mandating who goes where. 30/Aug/14 12:41 AM |  |
 Looks like fall. 30/Aug/14 12:48 AM |  |
I saw Silvergal's photos on FB. I am impressed with the ingenuity of the ''temporary'' repairs. 30/Aug/14 12:49 AM |  |
 I did enjoy seeing your fridge band-aids. 30/Aug/14 12:49 AM |  |
I hope that is the case, Silvergal. But at the moment they are asking for volunteers. When we attempted to put M in school last year, she would have gone to the suggested school, while K went to the other school. But some stupid thing, like we made too much money, had no handy caps, lived in More... 30/Aug/14 12:52 AM |  |

Based on the clue in parentheses, find a four-letter word that can be inserted backwards into the blank to complete a longer word. Example: di____ve (a defeat)Answer: dissolve ('A defeat' gives you LOSS, which is placed backwards in the blank: di_SSOL_ve.) 1. ski____s More... 30/Aug/14 12:56 AM |  |
I believe at one point, during my Sudoku life, we had the discussion of moving while children are in school, and it totally hurt my head. The teen that lives across the street, from us, has been in 4 schools, in two years, because of her father's job. These are her high school years, very important More... 30/Aug/14 12:56 AM |  |
I like the fridge fix as well. Duct tape is my preferred tool for repairs. 30/Aug/14 12:57 AM |  |
I am so thankful, that our timing in moving allowed K to finish the school year at one school, and was able to start the beginning of the year at her new school. Thank goodness, the people who brought our property, let us be squatters for 3 weeks. 30/Aug/14 12:58 AM |  |
