incredible how many new members there are - I am truly... amazed, astonished, bewildered, blown away, bowled over, buffaloed (I particularly like this word), flabbergasted, floored, overcome, overwhelmed, puzzled, speechless, staggered, startled, stunned (and even a bit surprised - or perhaps not) - courtesy of Roget's New Millennium™ Thesaurus

A preacher is buying a parrot.

'Are you sure it doesn't scream, yell, or swear?' asked the preacher.

'Oh absolutely. It's a religious parrot,' the storekeeper assures him.

'Do you see those strings on his legs? When you pull the right one, he recites the lord's prayer, and More...

2:02, Maen, not sure what the red thing is either. Still having bad thunderstorms. Son's high school is without power, they're sending everyone home so I sent him to his Grandma's. She's without power and probably has limbs down. He can help her and not spend the day in video games and computer chat.

Last night we had 3 inches of rain in about 30 minutes in our area. In metric, that's 76 millimeters, I don't know the metric conversion for minutes.

Good Thursday, Maen, all!

I agree with Keith/CA--it looks like it might be one of Nal's Fairchild photos!

Will the photographer stand up and take a bow? (or at least let us know who you are?)

MizTricia, If you get this rain, tie everything down. there were 70 to 80 mile per hour straight winds with the rain. My house is okay but there's plenty of damage to go around and they've restore power to over 100,000 households in the Fort Worth/Dallas area and about 200,000 left to go.

Nice picture of a Great Egret (or American Egret) and what looks to be a Chihuly ball. MizTricia, when you are done with that rain, send the rest down here please. Its awfully dry.

You can all have the rain that is forecast here for the next few days. Though they forecast it for today and it has yet to arrive. It was a perfect day for golf pity my game wasn't up to it.
