I think it is a fear of the malady being extremely serious and not just a gastritis or something ordinary. The fact that early diagnosis is paramount and that the doc would rather see 10 patients who's worries are unfounded than miss one with something if untreated has far worse consequances, is forgotton in the fear of the unknown.

Hi Rayray, I insisted he be seen today, the receptionist didn't stand a chance. But in fact the French health service is second to none. I know that if any tests are needed they will be done immediatly. We pay a lot for state health here but you get a good service in return
