Well, have managed to get my computer going again. So far we have visited Fiona and had a wonderful time in her part of France. Not without mishap though as we were to depart for Paris and London the French decided that they would set the train on it's way half an More... 04/Sep/14 12:00 AM |  |
G'day mates. Here's today's daffynition:19th Hole: The only hole on which golfers do not complain about the number of shots they took. And here's today's factoid:In 2007, an 8-foot tall Lego man labeled ''NO REAL THAN YOU ARE'' washed up on the beach in Zandvoort, Netherlands. In 2011, it washed up on the beach at Siesta Key, Florida. 04/Sep/14 12:00 AM |  |

 A bit of triskaidekaphobia, Lizzy? 04/Sep/14 2:41 AM |  |
, y'all! Woke up a bit too early today. Can't make it through the night any more without a visit to the Water Closet/Head/Throne, whatever you want to call it. Bad thing about waking up after 6-7 hours of sleep is that I've had enough to not be able to go back to sleep, but not enough to be alert throughout the day. 04/Sep/14 3:14 AM |  |
Refrigerator on slate for being delivered today. Silverguy is such a worrywart ('Will it work? Will it fit? [Yes, we measured ad nauseam.] Will it be undamaged? Will the installers take out a wall? Will it look okay? Will the doors get in the way? Will it make enough ice? Will...?). He's not More... 04/Sep/14 3:18 AM |  |
Ill stick to spelling superstitious thanks Hal!!! 04/Sep/14 3:23 AM |  |
Good news is it'll most likely be delivered before he gets home. Wallpaper project continues when we're in town/not busy. Looking good! 04/Sep/14 3:25 AM |  |
 I gave up worrying long ago. 04/Sep/14 3:26 AM |  |

Looking forward to reading of the successful delivery of Silvergal's 'Fridge' as we Aussies call it!! My hubby loved the patch up job on the old one Men are such worry warts! I wont say any more than that... 04/Sep/14 3:27 AM |  |
 & didn't do any good. 04/Sep/14 3:27 AM |  |
 Not all men, Lizzy. 04/Sep/14 3:28 AM |  |
Funny how different words mean different things in different countries. Putting something on the slate here in Oz means you will pay for it later!! Had to read Silvergals post a few times to realise that isnt what she meant. 04/Sep/14 3:30 AM |  |
Sorry Keith and other males that arent worry warts. I should of said 'most' 04/Sep/14 3:33 AM |  |
Silvergal, I've been meaning to ask for an update on the wallpapering project - thought maybe I'd missed your 'It's done' announcement ... guess the fridge situation took precedence! Eager to hear/see the results! 04/Sep/14 3:37 AM |  |
It's moving along in evenings and weekends, though not non-stop. Evening activities, visiting mom-in-law in the mountains over Labor Day, etc. I'm doing it on my own for two reasons: (1) I'm particular about the results and (2) ain't NO room for two people on ladders in our bathroom! 04/Sep/14 3:43 AM |  |
Lizzy, I was going to use 'on tap' but I thought that might be even more colloquial. I picture writing something on a slate chalk board like a running to-do list. Looking at the ding to my bank account, the fridge is most definitely paid for! 04/Sep/14 3:46 AM |  |
Keith, I need you to talk to Silverguy! I worry about some things, no doubt, but heck, if there are issues with the fridge as delivered or installed, the retailer has a great reputation for follow up. There are definitely more serious things to be concerned with than an appliance. Of course, my opinion won't get me anything out of the vending machine down the hall! 04/Sep/14 3:50 AM |  |
In truth, Silverguy can usually fix anything (a talent of his). Perhaps not being able to fix the fridge to give it another year just got to his psyche. 04/Sep/14 4:26 AM |  |
Once I figured out that worrying about something that hasn't happened yet is pointless, (unless there's something you can do beforehand to change it, in which case, if it's that important, do that)life got a lot easier. After something happens that isn't right, figure out how to correct it. No worry involved, just action. 04/Sep/14 4:38 AM |  |
 Good morning. 04/Sep/14 6:36 AM |  |
