Melbourne Cup day is first Tuesday in November. I used to love it and look forward to seeing the fashions etc. The lunches and sweeps are all so much fun. It all lost it's appeal a couple of years ago when one of the horses broke it's leg and was put down on the track. I understand it has to be done but I hate it....
