33. Beer for breakfast? A microbrewery here markets a chocolate oatmeal stout with a strong coffee and chocolate flavor. And a label with a picture of someone eating breakfast.

Hmm. I know I hit the submit button for that comment while it was still 7:59. And then it turned 8:00 so I brought up a new screen in a fresh tab (so there would be no ghost post) and it told me there were as yet no comments for today and I could be the first to post a comment. So why did yesterday's 33 show up as today's First Post of the Day?

Usually if you are looking at the old page after the calendar turn and you comment it just shows you commenting on that page at the later date and time. It doesn't kick your comment to the new calendar date page.

BAD PARROT

A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary.

Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity.

John tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently More...

I hope my poozlers check out the great list of answers we collected from our Quicktionary round. I posted it on yesterday's Easy page. As some of them were coming in I asked myself 'how did I not think of that?' while there were other answers I had to Google because I was unfamiliar with the word. (And some answers that I came up with I was surprised that no one else duplicated.).

Do the Alphabet song and
Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
have the same tune?

Why did you just try singing the two songs above?

More than you want to know about DoA's question:

Though you may not recognize it, the tune of the alphabet song is based on the tune of a very common nursery rhyme: “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”. In the 1780s, Mozart originally composed the tune as a variation on a classic French nursery More...

This same tune is also used as the basis for such children's songs as Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and Baa, Baa, Black Sheep.

Here they are all together:

I've been wrapping gifts that need to be mailed out of town. Now my problem is finding boxes. I usually save boxes for that, but, with all the chaos around here for the last six months, that didn't happen. And, of course, the few that I have are not the right size.

Interesting, Sarah. Thanks for the info.

Peter's ECCO took me quite awhile, too. The clue to #10 is perfect.....once you figure it out. It made me laugh, anyway.

One good thing about everyone shopping online is that the recycling area in our loading dock has plenty of boxes in all sizes and shapes. We are asked to break them down for recycling, but, fortunately, few people do that, at least for the most useful sizes.

Kathy, there are also the flat rate boxes that the PO provides free ...if they are a useful size for you; they are also such that there is a standard cost for each size box no matter how much the box weighs.
