The composition of this picture is lovely...the beautiful grey stone and the greenery in the foreground. Very nice!

It's here, but I'm going to be stuck facilitating a port folio review all day long. Groan!!! Not a way to spend the weekend

Shosho, what WILL you do with yourself once you retire??!!

Maen Sudokuland! We are digging out this morning. 10 inches of snow in the last 13 hours. The kids love it!

Good morning to all. Shosho - I feel your pain. I'm in my sixth year of retirement, and still appreciate every minute of it -- although I do occasionally miss the kids and the challenge.
07/Feb/10 2:22 AM
 |  |

Howdy Doody to you too, Vici.

Well put, Linda. I highly recommend retirement.

HAHA Keith! I was wishing I had a "Howdy Doody" smilie!

Incredible picture! I can't imagine the man hours and skill it took to build those!

Inspired by a Howdy Doody discussion I can't remember how many months ago. Brought back to the light of day by the old TV shows discussion just a couple of days ago.

I should "hang around" ... just in case.

Slow day here today.

Except for "Howdy Doody" here. Keith.
07/Feb/10 3:17 AM
 |  |

Or should I have said "Howdy" Keith?
07/Feb/10 3:20 AM
 |  |

Howdy Heidi. That has a pretty good ring to it too.

I can remember watching Howdy Doody when I was a young lad! I wanted to be in the Peanut Gallery and meet Buffalo Bob! Remember Princess Summerfall Winterspring? I can remember how sad I was when she died in an accident...

As much as I liked Howdy Doody, my heartthrob was Annette Funicello.

All of the "boys" in "our" age group had the hots for Annette, Keith. That's why all of us girls HATED her! And it was just because, as Ed from Lithia so perfectly phrases it, "Annette had big ... ears"!!
07/Feb/10 5:02 AM
 |  |

Annette did have a very nice set of ears...

07/Feb/10 5:06 AM
 |  |
And, Boys, it probably wasn't your hearts that were throbbing ... (My husband, another Annette fan, thought I should add that point!)
07/Feb/10 5:08 AM
 |  |

I was too young for anything besides my heart to throb...
07/Feb/10 5:09 AM
 |  |

Me too ... but I still remembered her ... later. She had a cute ... smile, too.

mAen!

A quiet Sunday here.

Today marks the first anniversary of the Black Saturday bushfires last year. Lots of media coverage and reminiscing happening. Memorial services later in the day, and a minute's silence at midday.

Good Afternoon to everyone. Jenny and I had a "girls" morning this morning. It was nice to spend some time with her. We started the day with "Starbucks!"

Beautiful architecture on these buildings!

I'm reading about the huge blizzard and snowstorm on the US east coast. Mr P, the postman, should be just touching down in Sydney. He had a lucky escape from the snow, as his flight went Norfolk-Dallas-LA. Thinks he would have been stranded if he had flown to LA out of Washington DC area.
07/Feb/10 8:27 AM
 |  |

I think Mr P should avoid travelling to the USA snowy areas in the winter months - it was a few years ago now that he got stranded by a blizzard in Colorado Springs, and barely made it home for Christmas!!!
