For a feral cat, it looks well-fed. Perhaps the photographer is one of its benefactors.

Sloppy Joes = brown ground meat (usually beef), drain excess fat if necessary, add chopped onions and green peppers. Saute a bit. Add lots of tomato ketchup, a medium amount of garlic powder and a bit of brown sugar. That much sweetened ketchup gives the meat a sweet sour 'zing' in addition to making the meat rather saucy/sloppy to eat on a hamburger bun, hence the name.

If it were 18 degrees here, I would not be playing tennis! Based on the inside temperature this morning (56), I'm guessing it's about 35 outside, but I haven't checked the thermometer yet.

I spent the morning and lunch at a Sew & Sew group where we spend our time doing almost anything with needles - embroidery, patchwork, quilting, knitting, chatting and helping each other. Industrious morning, delicious pot luck lunch and lovely 'girls'.

Brits use the word biscuit to mean a dessert snack we call a cookie in the US. A US biscuit is almost identical to an unsweetened scone = start with flour, add a bit of salt and chemical leavening (NOT yeast - I use baking powder and add a little baking soda). Then a solid shortening is cut into More...

Sounds like a good idea, Gmo! I think that would be the only way I'd finish some of the quilts I started 15 years ago... with food and fun! I liked the design part too much...

HI all! Not too may answers to yesterday's riddle, but then it was difficult! No sign of Kathy in the winner's list either...! The answer was as follows: Take each letter in the first word and substitue the preceding letter in the alphabet and you get the second word.
Glenn, Grasshopper, Plum, Sarah and Victoria came up with the right answer. Jerry didn't even try!

Here's today's one - you can send the answers to Kathy! Have a good weekend all!

You're right Plum...1-9 easy one.
I'd feed this kitty...but then this week I brought home yet ANOTHER kitty from the shelter. This one is semi-ferral and I'm looking to socialize it. It slept with me last night and now is my bestest buddie...we need to see if it will get along with other cats in the house and other peeps.
