For those who might have missed it, Wombat posted a rather interesting puzzle yesterday at 11:24AM (with corrections at 11:39 and 11:42 ๐Ÿ˜‰). It's worth the effort to take a look.

Well, for a cp, I'll add my hope that CP's recovery is quick, that Lizzy enjoys retirement living, that our Floridians stay safe in the heavy rains and that the Olympics are a source of wholesome entertainment for the spectators and are peaceful and satisfying for the particpants and host city.

Saw a little mouse on the sidewalk this morning during my walk--he seemed almost tame, and not the least bit bothered by my presence as he chomped away on something. Last week, my intrepid second feline brought me a small one from the basement; first one in decades, and I haven't seen any of its relatives here. It's a gift I can do without.

Wow, Sunday, my bank called me regarding suspicious activities on my credit card! I was able to spot the charges done not by me and reported them. They took off the charges and closed that account, saving me over a thousand dollars! It was an online hack that did it. So now I put on an alert on my accounts to let me know if anyone tries to hack into them. I suggest that you do the same!

Am getting ready for the Obon festivals. Kind of like Halloween but more religious like Dia de los Muertes. A day to remember loved ones who have passed. We dance in the street, traditional Japanese dances and some modern ones that reflect our diversity like the Shiawase Samba and One Plus One More...

For those of you who are interested, Wikipedia is an article of Sadako Sasaki and the statue in her honor. It is called The Children's Peace Monument and it signifies the wishes of children to live in a world without fear of nuclear wars.

I finished on hapi coat (sort of an Americanized kimono but very short and left opened in the front with inside pockets to hold my fan, scarf and kachi kachis (castanets) for the dances! And almost finished with the second one for the second night!

Another hot/humid day. I guess 88F is not too hot but with heat index it is like 101F, that is hot.
I really need to clean the flower beds but not in this weather.
