I think this fantastic photo was taken just minutes after, and somewhat 'zoomed' or from a closer vantage point, the 'medium' one from two days ago. Take a look for yourselves.

Good day to ALL!

Jiminoregon, today's the day I rescue your ego--I clocked in at 13:50! And that's after a good night's sleep, a healthy breakfast and lunch ... where's a good excuse when I need one?

Eric, you hit the nail on the head. Your assessment is exactly correct - it was taken a few minutes later at the same lagoon as the one two days ago. You win the chook.

A bit tricky, a lovely misty sunrise Ian.

Orianne, it is not as easy as it looks - I tried it once and discovered that I have the artistic talent of a lump of lard.

Ian, the 'giveaway' for me was the remarkable texture of the field in the foreground.

They are both fabulous shots, thanks - but what is a chook?
10/Apr/08 7:49 AM

I said that because I learned how to give a misty look to a painting but with watercolors, only...not oil ot acrylic.

Eric, a chook is an Aussie name for a chicken. It is a fairly common practice to raffle a chicken every Friday in the pubs out here, either that or a tray of meat. So the expression "You've won the chook" or 'You've won the meat tray' is a compliment on the success of your venture.

At fétes and similar functions in Australia, Eric, they have frozen chook (read chicken) raffles, in other words you win a chook! Great photo Ian!

Lovely Ian! The textured field in the foreground looks like thistles to me Eric!

Eric - my avatar is the chook that escaped the raffle - hence it's overexuberance!
Slow on puzzle today!!!

Ian - I had the same thought as the others that it was your shot, taken a little after the one the other day. Both great shots, congrats!
