5:45 On one short stretch of Vermont road, I saw four signs within about 1/4 mile: train crossing, moose crossing, deer crossing, and tractor crossing. Don't know how anyone gets anywhere. Not a bad idea, actually. Makes everyone slow down. But the "no sheep stealing" sign is a new one.

A welsh farm, I am guessing?

Cathy, I recall a visit to Vermont when we had to wait about 15 minutes for a herd of cows to cross the road.

Around here, they need a turkey crossing sign. Or not. Wild turkeys abound in the suburbs and though I haven't seen them on my street, I More...

Interesting, sheep stealing is not allowed here either, but I have never seen a sign. Not even when they wintered the sheep here and drove them up North in the Spring before sometime in the mid 70's.

Well, I guess that way no one can say they didn't know they weren't allowed to steal sheep.

Good afternoon to all! Cool sign, and I like the baatherd word too! The best sign I ever saw was on a steep, hilly, narrow highway in India approaching a very sharp corner turn. It was a circled skull and crossbones and read "Go Slow."

Too funny. Not something you see around here.

It is a photo I took during a visit to Wales (Welsh Wales, not New South Wales). I thought it looked kinda cute.

maen all! i'd like a no goat stealing sign for one of my neighbors. he thought the coyotes had found a way in but no carcasses. seems some young punk arab kids were stealing them and bringing them home for family meals. one of their parents turned them in.

There used to be white crosses on the highway ( calif.1) when we were children. Dad said that they put one up for every car car that crashed there.

Some Tasmanian friends stayed with us on their way home from a holiday in Queensland & said they'd been stopped by a policeman on a country road. He was stopping the traffic so a large goanna could cross! Fun puzzle! I guess "Farm Watch" is a bit like "Neighbourhood Watch" in the city!

4:11 One of the best signs I have seen was in NZ in the Queenstown area. It was warning of falling rocks but someone had stuck a picture of a snow boarder riding off the edge of the cliff so that the falling rocks were a by product of the boarder... it looks better than it sounds.

2.52 Loved the sign. Where we live (seni-rural, near Brisbane) we have koala signs - we pay a tax to own property in a designated koala area. Never seen one around, however we see plenty of wallabies (small roos) at dusk. Got to be careful on roads then.

That should be SEMI-rural, sorry

JJ, my son is a Red Sox fan and made a bet with my friend in Utah. She now owes him a ten dollar gift card to buy ice cream with. For him it is a cool bet (pun intended) as he is only 10 years old.

Chris/Canberra, we used to visit my MIL regularly when she lived in Wales, and recently we visited Wales again to inter her ashes together with her husband. It is a beautiful country (when it's not raining) and I would love to spend more time there.
