I hate when I mess up the possibilities!!!

Emily is quite a cutie!

Tell Emily what a beautiful young lady she is.
Oh to be so sweet again...

17.15 Hi Emily.
 |  |
1) Start 22, UP to 27.
2) d2=7 == d2=3 -- d79=3 == d79=89 -- e7=9 == e7=5 -- e6=5 == e6=7 forbids e2=7, e3=7, d6=7.
3) Locked 7s at d12 forbid f1=7, f3=7. UP 36.
4) xy-wing h2=25, e2=26, i1=56 forbids f1=6, i2=6. UP 81.

Going dancing Emily?

Celia - ansered your question about yesterday's puzzle, if it is still pertinent to you - in the archives.

No time to actually do a proof today, but it is probably safe to assume that Clark's is excellent.

Difficulty rating of Clark's proof:
.15 + .01 + .07 = .23

16:44 and mAen to Emily with the rosy cheeks! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone on the other side of the globe.
 |  |
There is a typo on the xy-wing step. The first square should be g2 instead of h2.
 |  |
I've been working on the tough puzzles without really understanding the notations on the proofs. This may be really stupid but can someone tell me if a,b,c are the columns going left to right or rows from bottom to top? Conversely, are the numbers 1,2,3 rows from bottom to top (like chess) or More...
 |  |
Never mind.. I found a tutorial for the notations when I checked the proofs section..
 |  |
Just one guess, then it all unraveled. Sweet girl, Emily!
 |  |
Good mAen to all. What a beautiful reward for finishing the puzzle! Emily, you will knock them dead when your a little older!

Hi - I have the same problem - where did you find your tutorial ??
 |  |
Hi Terry..
At the bottom of this page, you can see a link 'Proofs'. There's a link to Bruno's page http://brunogreco.free.fr/bazar/sudoku/

which provides the basic conventions.. I'm still working through it. Best of luck!!

Very many thanks for leading me to the proofs. I have been attempting these for about a month now - the Easy can be done in the head, the medium can sometimes be done in the head but the other 2 levels I neede possibilities. The hard seemed to work out OK but I was stuck most times More...

Hi Steve, did you mean me? - I didn't ask a question yesterday, I didn't even try it, having read the comments! Have more or less given up on toughs as I can't seem to apply chain logic. Thanks anyway - this is a full time job for you!
