Hi Everyone,

I've started a new area - The Parent's Page. You can access it from the top right. You can submit all your baby/grandchild/kid photos here, and they will show up quicker than the other sections. This is also the 'home' for the guess-the-baby comps (though you can still post anywhere).

12:28 - surely someone's been here before me???
 |  |
I guess it's just you and me Gath!!!
Night all!
 |  |
PJ: Sounds kinky! But...I'm here to spoil your fun - just haven't finished the puzzle yet!
 |  |
13:35 Love the wacky balloon. Have a great one, all.

12:24 Maen
 |  |
Good Maen to all! Hope the birthday party was fun, but that guest looks like a bit of an airhead!!

8:11 this one was tough. I had to make one guess, but from there everything fell into place. I wonder if there is a way to go without the 1 guess.
 |  |
a side note on yesterday's tough:

noticing the double implication chains might be the
simplest proof.

at step (10) choosing any pair in columns d,e,f determines the value of, by double implication,
{a4, b5, g7, g1, h5, i6, i4}
then {a6} yields the invariants {a1, a8, b7, d7,
d5, d2, f8, f5, f3, i8, i7, h3, h2, h1}
-- quite a harvest.

Balloons always make the party more festive.

Very tough for me,too, John B....and I made 3 guesses. And thanks to Gath for an extra puzzle! More to keep the brain stirring!

15:24, but no guesses. I love this sight.
 |  |
Rather easy for a tough!

Very messy proof today! Only saving grace is some nice wrap around chains...

1) Start at 23 filled - the given puzzle. Unique Possibilities to 26 filled. (UP 26).
2) Locked 1's at df2 forbids f3=1. UP 28.
3) Locked 6's at ab1 fprbods ghi1=6 UP 33
4a) Pair 18 at d27 forbids More...
 |  |
6:00 even. seemed a bit harder than normal with 3 guesses
 |  |
Looks like a fun craft for kids to do.
 |  |
1) Start 23, unique possibilities to (UP) 26.
2) Locked 1s at df2 forbid f3=1. UP 28.
3) Locked 6s at ab1 forbid ghi1=6. UP 33.
4) Hidden pair 35 at ef8 forbids e8=8, f8=278, a8=3, b8=3.
5) e7=2 --e7=7 == e2=7, so e7=2 -- e27=8 == e4=8. Therefore, the chain e27=8 == e4=8 -- ab4=8 == More...

Canukgreg.....LOL
G'day all :)
 |  |
10:38 Usually I find them really difficult but this one just fell into place without guessing. Maybe I am finally getting the hang of it.

 |  |
19:01. Three guesses and a glass of wine. Gotta go fix dinner.
 |  |
The kids had great fun doing the balloons - and they lasted surprisingly long (days that is) at least Leia's did! We beat the Anzac Day rain by minutes - all packed up just as it came down! No wind fortunately.
 |  |
5:11 after setup.
 |  |
KATE from Sydney.....thanks for the info...looks like a great idea for a young birthday party..I'll put it in my ideas file for the grandkids when I have them, as own child is past that stage! Cheers. :)
