I've been a user on this site for several years. Decided to change my name to more accurately reflect me and mine. Hope you all are good with name changes.

1. Note pair 89 at ac4.Unique possibilities to 28.
2. If h6=8,h5=4 and b4=4.Likewise,i6=8,h9=8=a7,b7=3 makes b4=4 and UPs to 81.(Note pair 49 at af2 along the way).

Typo in step 2.Should read "pair 49 at ae2".

1. SSTS (Simple Sudoku Technique Set)
2. (3=5)d6-(5)d1=(5)bc1-5=6)b2-(6)h2=(6-3)h3=(3)i3, => i5<>3, STE (singles to end).

SSTS is a benchmark used by some solvers which represents the easy solving techniques. It is based on the solving technique set used in Angus Johnson's Simple Sudoku program.

1)Start at 22,basic techniques to UP=28

Hi Sotir.Your conclusion in step 2,"ab9<>8" seems to be a typo.Do you mean b4<>3 ? Regards,Alfred.

Hi Dave, Your above proof is the first one that I have not been able to follow. I have 156 as possibilities for b2, so combined with 16 as possibilities in h2 gives 7 in g2, 5 in i2 and so nt136 in hi3h2. Have I missed something? Best regards, Neil

Hi Dave,
I agree with Neil.Something wrong on your chain.
IMO if start from d6;
2)(5=3)d6-(3=8)i6-(8=4)i7-b7=b4-f4=f6,=>f6<>5.UP=81
Best regards,sotir

Thank you Neil, Sotir and Alfred!

I left out a nice loop that cleared the way. Could not find it again, but instead:
1. (1=6)b8-(6=2)a8-(2=7)d8-(7=9)d3-(9=1)e3-(1)e1=(1bc1, =>b2<>1.
2. (3=5)d6-(5)d1=(5)bc1-(5=6)b2-(6)a3=(6-3)h3=(3)i3, =>i6<>3, STE.

SS More...
