missing darker gridlines for 3x3 blocks of numbers

Submitted By: usbond from Pittsboro, NC

Hi all - I absolutely *love* this site and have saved it as my home page.  But lately, I'm getting headaches when I play and having difficulty solving even the easy puzzles.  Didn't there used to be darker gridlines that separated the blocks of numbers (i.e., 9 numbers per block in a 3x3 grid of these blocks)?  If yes, can they be restored?  And if not, can they be added?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I agree that I would love to see darker lines around the sub-squares.

Mine seem to change from day to day & easy to hard. The darker lines appear at different locations. Refreshing a page doesn't help. Once in a while, a line (or section thereof) is completely missing. It does make solving more difficult...

My problem seems to be with a FireFox "tweak". I opened with internet explorer, and the grid was perfect - at least this time...

Well, boys & girls, today the grid displayed correctly.

I had a random suspicion and so checked adjusting the "Zoom level".

As soon as I changed to a different zoom level, the grid lines failed to display properly...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Final update, I emailed Gath about this issue. When he changed the zoom level, He got the same results, so it's not just me.....

I have the no-lines problem with Chrome, but not with Firefox, perhaps because I keep it at normal size.

Sorry, should checked first - I have the dark lines even with zooming all the way. In fact, the lines get thicker as the numbers get bigger.

I get sent this question a lot.

If you are missing the dark lines around the sub-squares the fix is to reset the zoom level in your browser.

Pressing Ctrl 0, (the Control & zero keys) will reset the zoom level to the default size and sometimes helps.
