Good going, Rena.

June... during the worst of the weather, the cattle do have access to shelter in sheds. Right now the main herd has the woods for shelter, and heavy thick coats. The calves and the new cows do have shelter under roofs now. But it isn't feasible to provide sheds in all pastures for ~80 head of cattle.

Amber had a great time at the beach. She loves digging in the sand. The waves weren't very big though. I asked if she wanted to go up in the plane but she would have had to go without me so she didn't want to.

Liz, I know I could have managed but did not want the stress of a lot of last minute details. I thought I would have had Laura today but her father is at home(generally works Saturdays). I have to be here Monday to take her swimming. If I went to Melbourne I would have had to see my grandsons so hard to do in the time.

Also want to get this wall painted. I have now washed sanded and given the woodwork the first undercoat. Hubby is going to Taiwan on 10th. so need the cupboards back and organised before he goes! I might paint some more of the room while he is away. The computer desks are on wheels and east to move.

Heidi I was not sure how cold it gets where you are. Our cattle had no shelter but then we did not get snow etc. Just some very heavy frosts.

It's hard to explain how cold it gets here. No winter is like the previous. Some are cold, some are wet, some are dry. We haven't had any significant snowfall in 8 years. Significant meaning that the driveway has to be plowed (by me). If it snows here. it melts in a day or 3, generally. The biggest worry is freezing rain. We have a lot of ice storms.

Heidi, that is one reason I am glad I live in South Florida. I don't think I could do ice and snow well. It would be a great place to visit.

That's a fun thing about Kentucky weather. It changes so frequently, and so dramatically, that you never get tired of anything (except MUD).

I think I'm gonna feed the dogs now, then go to bed really early. I've been very busy lately, and it's taken a lot our of me.

thanks Tami, I am really trying to take care of me. Meds on time, meals on time, keeping BS low like doc wants it. Getting enough sleep, and some exercise, so, about all I can do I imagine.

You are doing what you should be doing. My mom is very strict about her diet and only needs to test her blood sugar 3 times a week. I give her a lot of credit, she is really good about what she eats.
