Welcome to my page. It probably won't get updated that often, but I'll try as long as the children cooperate.

Keziah Patience was born on May 14th, 2015 at 7:11 pm. She weighed 8 lbs and was 20.5 inches long. After waiting and waiting for her to come on her own, my Dr decided to induce at 41 weeks and 4 days. He didn't want to go past 42 weeks, which fell on a Sunday. The hospital doesn't like to schedule inductions on weekends so the plan was to try for Thursday if they had space and to go with Friday as a backup. The broke my water around 4 pm and 3 hours later she arrived. I really wanted to avoid induction and stressed myself out enough to raise my blood pressure. Fortunately, I avoided Pitocin which was my big goal if we couldn't wait for her to come out on her own. They broke my water around 4 and 3 hours later she arrived. Things started out slowly and then it was fast and furious. On her way out, she decided to give all the medical people a little scare. She played with her umbilical cord a little bit and decided her heartrate should drop to around 70. She even made them call extra people into the room just in case.
